Glorify, why not read it in modern English, rather than in a language that was valid 400 years ago? It might make more sense, particularly if you read from verse 21 onwards.

Clearly referring to God not apprecaiting certain Bond Girls, God likes him some fine fanny to watch. and course God ,kes James Bond, because he's British. God wishes he could get out of those situations and get the women like old Jimbo

Norm Deplume says:
Technically, the language of 400 years ago *was* modern English. The OED dates the shift from middle English to modern English at around 1500.

It just full of contradictions. Saul accuses "them" of wishing to be under law - yet then himself cites Torah, to cast out Ishmael [pbuh] wholesale.

Furthermore, the quote from Genesis, is Sarah making requests of Abraham [pbuh]. Was Sarah a prophetess? And was there any way for her or Saul to foresee Islam? Or are all Ishmael [pbuh] the same thing?

And does this somehow relate to Pilate enquiring what truth is? Thanks.

Nevertheless, the English language has not stood still since then. To make sense it is easier to translate into modern idiom rather than trying to understand idiom from 400 years ago.

Norm Deplume says:
I am not attempting to argue that it has not changed. It is the description that is ambiguous - "present day English" or "twenty-first century English" or "post-WWII English" would better convey your meaning.

Heretic says:
glorify the LORD says: "...No more answers from anyone? From a Christian or Yahoodi? No more discussion? No more reasoning?"

You presumably are asking that question of 'Christians' but there are few Christians here and atheists have little reason to engage with someone emanating from one of the most hateful religions that has ever existed on the planet earth.

Mohamed and Jesus, Sarah and Ishmael, all of these are just people and whether you regard them as important or not they, just like any being on this planet like Andy Pandy or George W Bush, are as deserving of your mantra "Peace be upon him" or you are declaring that only those that you want to honour deserve peace which means you believe that all others do not deserve peace. It is well known that Islam wants to kill all non-Muslims and regards non-Muslims as lower than the animals.

What do I think of you? Read between the lines.

Heretic
