No: you don't now get to play the victim. If you accept that, at the very least, your comments could easily be construed as offensive or confrontational, we needn't pursue the question of whether they were intended to be. But the fault is still yours, for not picking your words more carefully. Going back to my original point in this little exchange, what is it you are trying to achieve with these comments? If you actually have something to say that is *not* meant to be offensive - what is it? If we take out the offensive content from the posts in question, what is left over?
That's not a rhetorical question: I want to give you a fair opportunity to say whatever it is that's on your mind. When you have *tried* to say something inoffensive, and been picked up on it anyway, that will be the time to complain.
