Squeeth says:
AJ was quite good for a while but sold out during the Egypt gig (they obviously put fake crowd sounds on their film of Tahrir Square) and now are indistinguishable from COMbbc. RT is the only place you'll find the sort of sceptical reporting that TradBBC did (against safe targets mind) and you can see Press TV on Youtube. Medialens, Counterpunch, Information Clearing House, Wikileaks and some others are much broader than the corporate propagandists so you can see the stuff that doesn't suit Caesar Obama and his puppet masters but you have to find it first. try this and imagine why COMbbc wouldn't show it.

Squeeth says:
The Independent was very good on world news when it started but since it became the Inderelictependent that lot was swept away in favour of coffee table articles. Damn shame as it was the only paper worth the bother when it started.

I would like to see Fox News too, dangerous though it is, I don't think it will change my perspective on the world. Who knows though, it seems to have worked quite effectively in the US on Republicans. Just seen that FINALLY they are going to trial the new YOU VIEW service, Set Top Boxes, basically Freeview with Internet Channels. That would certainly be worth considering upgrading to if the cost is too excessive. Not really sure what it is, just like Freeview I gather, can't be too much as there are already plenty of boxes you can use to upgrade your TV already.

Molly Brown says:
I think that Newspaper now will have to turn themselves into News Channels for the future. That would be good, as it seems we are sadly losing many daily locals week by week. The so called Community Channel on Freeview, just exactly what is that used for? That's where local news should come from now.

Spin says:
The British Broadcasting Company (or Corporation, I'm not sure which) should be renamed. It is no longer politically correct to broadcast English entertainment to devolved nations, and sell programmes to international media, while holding the title "British" Broadcasting service. Nor does the word " Corporation/Company"" apply anymore. It is not a corporation. Abolish the TV license and sell shares if you want to retain the word "Corporation/company"."

Now there is an oddity! a conversation about the BBC being reduced to an advert for a book concerning the "wonder" of human life! Indeed,a wonder! =)

If you persist in spamming a link to your putrid book, I will give it a one star review, and I advise others to do the same.

Interrupting the flow with a pointless and irritating advert for something that no-one wants to know about: there's a career for this guy in BBC trailers!

Was watching Cbeebies last night with my lil daughter. The smile on her face when Tinga Tinga comes on... Priceless. I agree, scrap all of the BBC, but save Cbeebies!!! We need advert-free TV for our kids (You listening Sky and Virgin?)

COMbbc 4 adverts: "Aren't stars brilliant! they twinkle and everything!! Brilliaaaant!"

"Aren't English queens brilliant! they wear big dresses, complain about the plumbing and chop some bloke's head off!! Brilliaaaant!"

Isn't that the channel with an obscene pullulating logo in the top corner?

In reply to an earlier post on 1 Jun 2012 12:43:02 BDT
Perhaps it should be re-named the Bollocks Broadcasting Corporation.

DPR; Given the crap it produces to cater for commercialism and sofa-bred intelligence,(and does so with our money), I think it should be called the "British Bull *** Corporation".

Squeeth says:
Against my better judgement I went with the grandlings to Hessle foreshore to watch four boats sail under the Humber Bridge with hose-pipes squirting upwards. I couldn't bear the excitement so went back to read a book. The rest went to a "fun day" which at least had a beer tent and a beacon. Being Hull the beacon was an upside down police car. Apparently the driver was really upset - he was still in it.

Molly Brown says:
The BBC says that Mark Thompson earned just £662,000 last year, fifteen times the median salary at the BBBC. They have cut down dramatically on the pay for presenters and "talent", they only paid £203 million last year for this so called "talent". That's just reminded me, my TV Licence tax is due this week.

Reading the posts here, this one really had me thing about how much we are manipulated and how naive we would be to think otherwise

Sou'Wester says:
And now we find that the publicly funded BBC, so keen on practically every news bulletin to highlight the immorality of bankers and other key figures, has itself been practising a "legitimate" wangle to reduce the tax and national insurance bill for both itself and presenters.

Squeeth says:
COMbbc vents a lot of hot air but only the hypocritical sort. Where are the investgative journalism programmes these days? Abolished or they'd be exposing COMbbc for the fraudulent con that it is.

James says:
The BBC is a Liberal propaganda machine for self-loathing guilt-trip middle-class idiots. On any one of the four channels we are being told how racist we are, how wonderful Muslims are and how 10 million plus immigrants just aren't enough.

Minorities are shoe-horned into BBC programmes wherever possible; black actors taking white roles in medieval dramas FFS!. Every history programme has an immigrant angle.

If a crime is committed against a black person then the evil racist is pilloried on the BBC. If a black person does similar then the race of the perpetrator is kept quiet.

The BBC is biased and I have no intention of paying for a licence. If there are any non-revisionist programmes worth watching then I download and watch them on a PC.
