Morning all, here we go again for another bout of picking apart the year in music. Please nominate a song released in some form in 2013 that you think we should all know about.

As this is the penultimate round I'm gonna have to have a proper think. Many bands are gonna miss out for me.

Nominations close 8am Sunday.

I'd keep it going longer but I've got so many things going on in the next few weeks, I think I'd be even less reliable if I kept it going much longer.

If someone wanted to take up the baton I'd still happily contribute but I didn't quite think it all through it seems. :D

It's not quite as easy as it looks is it RAB? You get caught up in it and next thing you know...you're hooked! Probably as well to ease out at 5 and start one for 2014 a mite earlier? About time new music took a seat at the table.

Ooh, glad someone's nommed Portugal. The Man as I've been meaning to check them out for a while.

Al - Agreed. I have a feeling it would have fizzled out before we got to 10 anyway, so I might kick things off at the start of November next year.

Dunno about that mate, no reason why you can't do it 6 monthly (or even a track monthly) - you can always pit the winners against each other at the end of the year. FYI, wiki do a page of album releases (admittedly it only has those on that subscribers have posted, but it is a help).

Yeah, P.TM are a band I've been noticing a few times this year but always got away when I had chance to investigate further. I really wanted to nominate Savoir Adore but sadly their last album came out October last year.

This list may help tech in nominating another...and any others interested....

That sounds like a decent idea. Do a track at the end of each month for a showdown in December. Cheers Al.

I like that idea too. Sorry I missed the voting for the last round but in any case I would only have added to the Arctic Monkeys' winning margin.

Here is my favourite bit of electronica from 2013.

Sorry, cannot find this one on youtube. Was going to nom something else and then something else instead but couldn't find them on youtube either. Grrrrr. Anyway, the link above goes straight to the track "Open Air", just click on the "play" button.

I would also like to carry on after 5 rounds but cannot commit to running the thread; if someone else was able to I would of course continue to contribute.
