I used to love watching Whydontyoujustswitchoffyourtelevisionsetandgoanddosomethinglessboringinstead during the school holidays. Unfortunately, I would then leave the television set switched on and watch White Horses, The Banana Splits and the test match for the rest of the day.

Blastronaut says:
Not sure what the dude's name is - the BBC fellow in the stadium, who interviews the athletes after each event - but I'm really hoping someone gives him a slap before the closing ceremony.
When you've just come up short, after dedicating X amount of years to getting a medal, just to have a microphone shoved in yer dial within minutes of the event finishing...

Sj Brooke says:
That be BBC sports journo 'Phil Jones', Blastro

In reply to an earlier post on 6 Aug 2012, 20:18:36 BST
Blastronaut says:
Yeah that be the one Sj. Can understand a sorta obligation for the athlete to say a couple of words (for the sake of the sponsors or whatever) but Mr Jones just keeps on shoving that mic at em, asking 3 or 4 seperate questions.
The times I've thought to meself - 'Just give the guy/gal a break and let em go ffs!'
Reckon the yank sprinter (think it wuz Tyson Gay) got it right last night; he let him ask one question, then when the mic returned for a second time he just walked away.
Just hope someone goes one step further and pops the intrusive ****** one! : )

Yorkshire alone are beating Australia in the medals table - enough to gladden ever the miserable souls traipsing through the dusty corridors of the MF ?

Don't confuse the breakaway People's Socialist Republic of South Yorkshire with the whole magnificent entity, Lez.

Yes but here in deepest Lincolnshire it's all flat & boring with few if any ovines so it's all about the incest, a game for all the family! You want to watch those geese if they get feisty ... could break your arm (or worse) ..... or is that swan-upping?!!

Gee-oerr man, I got noms to listen to. Enough beastiality for now!!

In reply to an earlier post on 7 Aug 2012, 21:27:21 BST
Gordon D says:
Bestiality, even. Although someone's bound to argue that "beastiality", like "restauranteur" and "should of" is now accepted usage.

In reply to an earlier post on 7 Aug 2012, 21:57:38 BST
Brass Neck says:
Whichever way it's spelt such usage of beasties is NEVER acceptable!! ;¬)
