Arvo Pärt is a must, KO. Tabula Rasa and Festina Lente do it for me, too.

Spacepig says:
Loved the Moon Unit track Notreshuggie, that one blew away the cobwebs in the head from last night I can tell you!

Seems to be available only on vinyl though, disasterous, if I could find it on CD I would be snapping that one up.

It has been released on CD, they were selling copies at the gig I was at. Probably very limited run though. You could always check eBay occasionally or (cough) other means of acquiring a copy.

They were the support for Michael Rother in Edinburgh 2010 a stunning gig and Moon Unit were very good, the drummer had a real early floyd vibe going.

hi s.pig, certainly "space ritual" & "floating anarchy" (latter not bad value at moment, under £7). saw here & now at edinburgh uni. in 80s - excellent. re hawkwind, best moments for me are intro to "silver machine" & whole of "you shouldn't do that". on more classical note, anyone heard "erlkoenig" (the erl-king), a lied based on a poem by, i think, goethe ? it's well-spooky.

Who's the d1ckw@d clicking the no button? The thread invites posters' opinions about what music really pushes their buttons and transports them - if YOU don't like THEIR music get over yourself!

BN - I've never taken much notice of those buttons at the bottom. If the d1ckw@d can't identify themselves by posting their thoughts then their button clicking is of little significance to me.

Celine Dion, her music is very intoxicating and always takes me to another planet, unfortunately it's not one on which I wish to inhabit.

Lez Lee says:
Great song, Carra, whatever version.

These 3, however often I listen, still have the tingle factor.

Keith Jarrett - Köln Concert
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKJHZd_TT_k

Georgs Pelecis - Nevertheless.
Needs to be listened to in its entirety, it's continually developing. But from 20mins gives a good flavour of it.

Ravel - String Quartet
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2KUTa6P6lM&feature=fvwrel

Still thinking about other types of music but I can safely say RW will feature somewhere!
