A bit late getting started tonight, sorry about that. But as Round 2 nears its end we have on offer Sparky's nomination, the ever popular, The Band.
So let's have 'em in what will no doubt be a popular round, your favourite Band song by 10:00 on Wednesday night please.

Beautiful song from their late period documenting the travails of the Cajuns ousted from Newfoundland searching for a home and eventually settling in the swamps and bayous of Louisiana;

This is unbelievably like Maurice Jarre themes - Zhivago, Ryan's Daughter etc.

All great selections. Where to start...?? So many fantastic tracks, plus the Dylan collaborations especially The Basement Tapes, (not necessarily the offical, cleaned up and overdubbed version) and the Muddy Waters Woodstock Album. Going to be greedy and namecheck a few I'm not adding to the list, Caledonia Mission, (an overlooked gem), Chest Fever, Blind Willie McTell the Dylan cover off Jericho, Yazoo Street Scandal, Bessie Smith... and a hundred more. For once one of these threads has found my passion!! My selection for the list, one of the greatest covers and live tracks I've heard, Don't Do It from Rock of Ages.
