CD Healthy sexual fantasy is normal and is with us for many years beyond the teenage years. Pans People and Hot Gossip ensured that we (that's definitely me and probably you) didn't ditch TOTP as kids

Lez, I believe Barry Manilow and Barry White made a number of appearances!

True Red, however it was never a programme I made sure I watched, and it certainly isn't one I feel nostalgic about. On the other hand John Peel's Perfume Garden that was broadcast from Radio London is one that I look back upon with much affection.
I suppose one had little relevance to me whereas the other one opened up a whole new world of music for which I have always been grateful about. Whilst there is always a place for fantasy and T&A in any heterosexual man's life, the banality of TOTP outweighed such attractions overall IMO. Like I have already said, it made a regular appearance again one my children started taking an interest in music which (surprise surprise) was at a very young age.

Just to set the record straight it was Pans People and Legs & Co on TOTP - Hot Gossip was the dancers on the Kenny Everett Show and there were Boys in the group too.

Hi Scarlet, You're correct - It was Pan's People and Legs & Co. Between these two sets, Ruby Flipper appeared briefly and after Legs & Co., another set called Zoo. This information was found on a BBC webpage. If you type "Top Of The Pops Dancers" into a search engine, you'll find it. With regard to Sarah Brightman and Hot Gossip, I have a 12" copy of "I Lost My Heart To A Starship Trooper" with a picture sleeve. Even though the track is identical to the version on 7", the sleeve makes it worth holding on to.

'and there were Boys in the group too' - given KE's proclivities there would have had to be!

It was interesting to see songs performed on TOTP that actually bombed - something I'd forgotten about. Last night featured Generation X's Wild Youth and Manfred Mann's Earth Band's California - both of which didn't chart.

He likes to feel anything he does. Doesn't know the meaning of discrimination.

Are you a small man?
Do you own a big car?
A big house?
Far too many cds?
Do you say; " It's not what you've got, it's what you do with it", a lot?

No need to reply....I like to think of you this way. ;-)
