As you know we have been asked to keep the general chatter down on the book club thread for obvious reasons and I think we should comply so I thought we could start another chat thread as the other one is now quite old.

Thanks Suze :) Have you made any of those cake pop things since? I was thinking of getting one of those machines, they look such fun!

Suze says:
Yeah I've made some, but it turns out you don't need a machine :-( I read you have to make cake balls and you can get baking trays as well, but in the books it tells you to just use cake, crumble it up and add buttercream then mould it into small balls. Glad it was only £20 or I would have been taking it back.
I made some with the machine the other day and dipped them in melted chocolate then into a bowl full of sprinkles. They looked really colourful.

I was looking on the John Lewis website for something else and an advert came up for a recipe booklet for them, some were so creative and looked gorgeous. I'm sure they are going to become really popular soon, especially for children :)

I've been trying to find a book in the book shops because even though I can get ebooks I like to look at my cake books in paper form, but there are none to be had in WHSmith, Waterstone or The Works. I've looked on Amazon and the best one is £10 which is more than I want to pay, and the others are saying the recipes are mainly american so I've still not found one. I'm going to go and look on John Lewis now to see if they have anything, I'd forgotten about them.
They do look gorgeous and such fun some of them. I'm looking forward to making animal faces and suchlike.

There was one there Suze, but I didn't pay much attention to the price. Hope you can find it :)

This is the one I was looking at but it's still £9.59!

Just found one in The Works for £7.49

I've just found it, it's almost £10 but looks pretty good. I also put the authors name into Amazon and all sorts came up which didn't when I did a search for cake pops. I'm just going to order one now. Back in a minute.

I very often buy new books from The Book People because their prices are usually way below Other retailers such as Amazon, the other day they sent me an e-mail advertising their new E-book service, great! I thought judging by their usual book prices there could be some real bargains, wrong! I think the cheapest on there was £4.99 very disappointing.

I have a K4 Bri and I press the menu button and then font size and I'm able to change it. I don't know if it's the same for the keyboard.

I was looking at those the other day too Dog, I agree they were quite expensive, some were over £10 and the same books for £3.99 on Amazon.

Brian I have a Touch and it's very tiny as well but I've managed to increase the font size and it's much better. I'll see if I can download it to the old keyboard and have a look for you.

mine isn't in the actual settings, I just press the menu button and there's a font option there. Suze said she's going to have a look on her keyboard for you Bri :)

I'm really tempted to start making some of these, thanks Pix! :)

Trouble is my son has got such a sweet tooth, he will scoff all those and eat nothing else! Maybe I should wait until I have grandchildren - lol

Brian the font size will increase on the keyboard. I've just increased it to the 3rd font from the right which is a good size for me to read. I didn't do anything special though, just increased it as normal on the keyboard.
