Morning folks,
Because Steve Robinson has released the sequel to In The Blood today, To The Grave only £1.99 (sorry can't find a link, but it is on Amazon) I was on my laptop very early in order to buy it:-) Having done so, I have now added 2 freebies as well....this addiction is getting worse :-) My late father-in-law was a heavy smoker and his day always began with a large mug of very strong tea and a roll-up.....mine now begins with a Kindle download!!! LOL :-)

Suze says:
It's a much better option once you get it started. It's really easy to use, but if you get jammed just shout out. I find it better to do a download daily from manage my kindle for transfer via usb, rather than let it build up into a big job.

I have taken to doing that as well. Sitting here at my desk, with a cup of steaming coffee next to me and am looking forwards to all my daily downloads.

Thank you freebie-hunters. How refreshing to see a thread as I love it to be - just nice folk talking to other nice folk. How hard can it be?

Movie buff, I briefly explained Calibre to someone else in another thread sometime back in January. Maybe it'll help you get a bit of an overview what Calibre is. Do excuse my syntax errors in that post - there are unfortunately a number of mistakes in there.

Thread is here:

(it's, I believe, the fifth post from the top of the page the link sents you to)

I'd recommend Still Life With Murder (Nell Sweeney Mysteries, Book 1). I got it as a freebie awhile back and have bought some of the others in the series since then.

I've had a mini trampoline for years in my living room, and yes, I do use it. If you're not convinced it's a good idea, take a look at this book (free today):

Afternoon all and thanks for links.

EDITED TO REMOVE LINK to The Soot Butterflies; sorry, no longer free at 1500.

I thought this looks intriguing; Liverpool/Wales, plus prose in preview is elegant and poetic and I was drawn in immediately...

Gerard Gabriel wakes from yet another vivid dream of Ethel, the first love he knew very briefly and made pregnant in his late teens, while on holiday in Wales in 1960 with his friends, "the boys from Liverpool", as Ethel and the other local Welsh girls knew them 49 years ago. He knows he is nearing the end of his life and now has to wake every night to touch his lips to convince himself there is no trace of her lipstick there.

John Dwyer says:
The Irish biography Klondike House - Memories of an Irish Country Childhood is FREE today.

In Klondike House, John Dwyer recounts his memories of growing up on the remote but beautiful Beara Peninsula in West Cork, Ireland. Dwyer's vivid and colorful stories describe his hard but happy life as part of an isolated but close-knit community, such as:

- Early school days spent in a building with no running water or electricity
- An encounter with a violent sheep that literally turned his world upside down
- The days spent cutting the turf and saving the hay by hand
- An Irish Christmas where nearly everything on the table was sourced from the farm
- His exciting family history that brought his relations to the Klondike Gold Rush in Canada

Complemented by a collection of evocative photographs, each chapter tells of a way of life that has now largely disappeared.
Sprinkled with a selection of fitting works by some of Ireland's best-known poets such as Seamus Heaney and Patrick Kavanagh, this gem of a book is a chronicle of the simple but happy life of an Irish farmer boy
