The intention of this thread is to flag up good books which have been reduced dramatically for kindle - such as the 'deal of the day' or ones on longer offer. Please don't put them here because they are cheap - just if you personally recommend them. Please also indicate when the offer stops. Here are some to start off:
Morgue Drawer Four 99p till 3rd January
The Martin Beck series - Roseanna (Martin Beck 1) 99p indefinite
The First Assassin 99p deal of the day 15th Dec

Excellent idea, G W. I don't have any to add right now but this looks like it's at risk of falling off the bottom of the page before it gets seen so... *bump*

I would welcome recommendations for good cheap books. I used to enjoy looking at the "Freebies"" every day but
am finding the lists off-putting now.
I suppose I am relatively conservative in my choice of reading material and therefore have found much of what has been listed
over the last couple of weeks distasteful.
From now on I think I shall use Amazon's own free book list and not trawl through the forum list.
Everyone has the right to read whatever they want to but many of the titles are not for me.

I have found a lot of good books through reading the "Just finished, just started" thread.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to these discussions. I have learnt a huge amount from them.

The State of Me

"The State Of Me" - Nasim Marie Jafry.

I'm biased, as an ME sufferer, but I think this is a bargain for 99p. My experience is different from hers in many ways, but there is a lot that is painfully familiar, and it gives a really good look for people who think having ME/CFS just means "feeling tired all the time" or that ME sufferers are simply lazy. It's good to see it's still at 99p, and having noticed that I thought it was a good one to post here.

Hope Against Hope

I don't know how long this is offer, I do know it's "not forever". I've noticed a few formatting glitches but so far I'm enjoying it and it's 92p at the moment.

I've just heard about a price drop to a book that I have enjoyed reading! In the Blood (A Genealogical Crime Mystery) which is now 99p. It was our first group book read for the UK amazon kindle forum on goodreads, and it was kuforum's group read last month. Mainly set in Cornwall, with mystery and intrigue across the centuries. A gripping read that I can recommend - it has loads of good reviews too now since it's been selected by two groups for their book club reads!

The Ch‚telet Apprentice: The first Nicolas Le Floch investigation (Nicolas Le Floch 1)

The Mail on Sunday" a roaring success in France ... and it is easy to see why" The Economist

Hi Caain! How are you??

My Dad really enjoyed "In the Blood" so I downloaded it on his recommendation. Still in my "unread" folder, along with scores of others, though!

Great Kew - I thought it was very well written and a slightly different genre :)

I loved Impeding Justice by Mel Comley. I never normally read thrillers but picked this up on recommendation from a friend and didn't regret it for a moment. Fast-paced action, a real page-turner. Can't recommend it highly enough!

I read In the Blood a few months ago Kew, excellent read, thoroughly recommended. Especially if you are into genealogy.
