Carlos, you need to report the problem directly to Customer Services. This is only a public discussion forum.

I think also that if you're submitting a formal bug report, Amazon will need much more specific information. You say "menu location", but not what or where - presumably the website on a laptop or PC. Which specific URL? What browser, version and operating system are you using? Do you mean the item didn't move at all, or just that it moved to the wish list but remained in the "Saved for later" as well? Have you tried closing down your browser, and clearing its cache and cookies, and logging out of your Amazon account, restarting your PC and so on? Do you or a family member have another machine or account you could try, to see if it affects that as well? It might also have been a transient problem with Amazon's servers (not uncommon in my experience!), so have you tried again after a day or two?
I think these are all things that Amazon might ask you to be able to work out what's gone wrong.

There seems to have been a few glitches in last few days,

For instance I ordered 4 items and went through checkout to last stage and clicked - Amazon then showed a page saying there had been an error and return to home page. I ordered the four items again and went through checkout - this time all was well.

A few minutes later I went to my account page to check on the quantity of one item that I wanted two of. In case I had not ordered two I wanted to check. Looking at the list I found the first attempt at purchase had actually succeeded not failed and so beneath the four items was another set of the same four items. Had I not wanted to double check my order I would have had a delivery of X 2 of everything.

The screen definitely said the first attempt had failed and said to return to the home page to try again and yet I found the order had gone through.

The system allowed me easily to cancel the first order but supposing it had been something costing an arm and a leg and Amazon had taken double what I expected to be taken from my account.

Might be worth checking "Your Orders" a few minutes after going through the checkout procedure.

Interesting?...
I've not had any problems with any ordering but for the last three days I keep on being asked to verify either myself, my Amazon account or 'my device' which is now no longer being recognised by Amazon - despite the fact that I only ever use my laptop and have often already logged into Amazon as per usual without any difficulties earlier on in the day?

They are forever asking me to sign in. I'm going to try signing out like I do with my ebay account and see if they continue to keep checking me out.

You can tick the box to say 'keep me signed in' but you will still have to enter your password for some things even if you do this.

I like my 'browsing sessions' to delete every time that I log out but it has never been an issue when it comes to logging back in before? I had to verify myself on every single post that I did yesterday and I got so fed-up with it in the end that I gave up!...(*fingers crossed*)...things hopefully seem to be back to 'normal' today ;o>

Do you mean you had to type in those funny collections of numbers and letters? I get that sometimes -though I haven't had it for a while.

I have my browser set to clear browsing history on exit.

K. A. Newton says:
I have to type in my e-mail address and Amazon password each time, I don't use words, it is combinations of letters characters and numerals. Not had the funny collection to type in for ages on Amazon.

At least I now know it so well I don't have to think what it is.

I keep forgetting the order of my ebay one. Which letters are capitals and which lower case. If it's written down I forget whether an capital O is an O or a 0 (zero). My Paypal used to have a capital "i" in it which I kept misreading as lower case L "l". In the end I had to change it.

Yes mainly - but I have also had to answer one of two security questions several times too, ones that are linked to my Amazon account, which is something new to me. This made me feel a little wary?

I haven't had to do that at all.

Damaskcat says:
I was thinking if the weird looking numbers and letters that machine can't read but humans can that you have to type in sometimes if you make a lot of posts on the forum.

I only have to type my e-mail address when I have cleared cookies.

K. A. Newton says:
Sometimes those weird looking numbers and letters can't be read. Occasionally a website puts a button next to them and a robotic voice reads out the numbers and letters - can be even worse to understand.

I just type what I think and if I get it wrong it kindly gives me another set to try with!

Ohhh no he hasn't?!...pass 'em round quick, Little Egret, before Eric goes and nabs the best ones! ;o>

(I'm guessing that we are talking about 'cookies', CB...x...I haven't changed my high security level blocks on allowing them, but maybe Amazon has just changed theirs as part of a new upgrade, and so I may need to accept them in return for better access?)

(EDIT: ...(*smiles and waves*)..."Hiyah Zero! - I've been missing you" ;o>)

Please yourself. You are taking to yourself in that case.

Yes, I agree with you, IKMP.

Carlos? - if you have an issue and feel that it is serious enough to want to come on a chat Forum, set up a thread and then talk about it with other customers, then why not just send a short and simple email or get in touch by phone with Amazon and discuss it with them directly? We can't do anything but discuss it amongst ourselves on here - Amazon are really the only ones who have the ability to actually be able to do something about this and to resolve the situation? I will certainly be reporting my problem with my account if it starts up again.

Hoping that someone from Amazon might just happen to come across your post and then act on it was always going to be a long shot, surely? They simply don't have enough staff, or probably the money to be able to pay them all either, to sit around all day and night reading every single post across the hundreds of Forums containing so many thousands of threads - but they do have an excellent Customer Service Department. And it does seem to be the most obvious place on their website to report any faults.

I hope that you manage to get it sorted out very soon.
