I usually go to the Exeter one, but I prefer Fibrefest. Sadly there is not going to be one this year so I will have till next year to save up for it---I always overspend there! Have you ever been to it, Maria?

That trip to London must be expensive - my wife says there are about two a year at Alexandra Palace - we'd never be able to afford it. Have a good time then.

No, I have never been to that one. Where is it held?

Maria says:
With getting rail tickets well in advance, booking hotels the same way, purchasing tickets in advance it is nowhere near as expensive as you might think . I will put details on the other forum or pm you if you'd like.

He's had his status elevated then?
He started as Brian and he's become Brain.
Didn't bother with Bright - straight to Brain.

Last year was at Bicton Colege, there were some problems there with uneven ground in the marquees due to mole activity! The alpacas were sweet, though. The one before was at Coldharbour Mill, Uffculme, which I preferred as a venue. I believe next year's site is still undecided, hope it's not too far Eastwards... I've been a bit disappointed with the Exeter one the last couple of years, for me too much papercraft and not enough fibrecraft! I will still go this year, I've got to get a bit of a yarn fix!

I've signed up Daisi, but I don't do anything crafty these days.

I think I saw some of the fibrefest displays incorporated as part of the Friends of Coldharbour fair at Bridwell Park 2 or 3 years ago. The felting looked really good. I'd never really thought of all those things as an art form.

Have you been over to look at our craft forum? You might find something to interest you there.

In reply to an earlier post on 28 Apr 2012, 23:58:35 BST
No... tbh I have plenty of crafts to be getting on with. See my profile pic for the jumper I designed based on the ones in Danish detective dramas! And I have some overdue crochet to do... not to mention the fact I haven't made an original watercolour greeting card for ages. Oh... and not a craft in the same sense but I'm currently writing and recording songs. If I look at a craft forum my house will stay a slum indefinitely :).

Like the sweater. You will be welcome if you change your mind at any time. We are new so are just getting going. You certainly are very busy. Do you sleep?? :)

Is the forum "off limits" at the moment?
I know I'm really new there but I can't read the grey lettering against the green background unless I hover.
I struggled with the previous colour.

Maria - I created a new Email account for the forum and now I can't remember it - or, at least, it's telling me it's wrong.
Any way of me checking what I registered there.
It's not in my profile

The forum is being updated at the moment, so things will be a bit different or off line for a while. I will pass on your comments to Daisi & get back to you.

BJT I can retrieve your email address so if you cant get into the forum to pm me, then send me an email at daisi.rose@gmail.com and I will send it to you.

The forum is under construction to make it more structured, it is not off line and everyone can still use it, however at present the chatbox in offline.

It all should be sorted out today, if anyone is on and see's the homepage style keep changing it is because we are experimenting with it so dont be alarmed.

Thanks everyone for your patience x
