Thanks to Kew I've taken Brand Loyalty

Also found these Creative Writing Reference freebies:
Writing Conversations: Spend 365 Days with Your Favorite Authors Learning the Craft of Writing
How I are Becomed a Very Much Gooder Author - NB. the title is deliberate

I've used Calibre a little bit, but thought this might be a useful reference guide. It's longer than the usual reference guides that are offered as freebies:

Is Amazon doing the multiple purchases in one email receipt again today? Haven't yet had an email and downloaded four books.

Here it is:

I got worried as I bought Magic Kingdom for Sale (no e-mail) and then had to top up my gift vouchers before buying Black Unicorn and Wizard at Large. All three arrived on my Kindle but were marked as pending on my account. All clear now (e-mailed all together though) thankgoodness.

Hope Suze sees this as it was she who advised me about buying gift vouchers for myself to save having lists of cheap books on my bank statement. Great idea but I think I am spending more. LOL.

I missed out on a holiday cos my dau's elderly house she-cat went on heat and couldn't go the the cattery so I spent a week cat sitting - both of us in purdah and I missed out on Devon. The weather was a naughty 5 letter word beginning with s and ending in e so a caravan in the rain with a 6 month old grandson and his parents might have been second choice anyway.

These Terry Brooks novels are to cheer me up. Well I saved on holiday spends.

People might also be referring to ereaderiq, where you can add the Kindle items in your wishlist to a watchlist, and it will tell you when prices drop. Very handy! :)

Thanks all, esp. Kew; I like the look of Brand Loyalty

@ L Evans, I read The Bookie's Runner last night. Quite a difficult read in places, suggest you don't read it on a day you feel a little down. It's a rewarding read, but not a bright and bouncy one :)

Thanks everyone.Only had a couple today and I was really good yesterday as I only had downloaded one. This 'paying' for the freebies has certainly slowed me down. :-)

Think the 20p club is an excellent idea, I grab so many freebies that I'll be able to treat myself to a more expensive book with a clear conscience!
Thanks to all who post on here, it's a really helpful thread.

Thank you Bookie, I will keep that in mind :-) I'll probably keep it for a quiet afternoon when I know I won't be interrupted, then I can do it all in one go :-) x

Suze says:
Err, you're supposed to keep an eye on your balance you know :-)

I'm also in the 20p club but have limited myself to a £1 a day. I do sneak the odd one through after that but on the whole it's working and I'm not downloading too many books.

Hi all I think the idea of the 20p club is a very good idea I have decided to join it. But as I get the books free I will put my 20p savings in the tickled pink bucket at Asda for Breast Cancer. I shall save it up until Christmas then take my savings along.
Thank you all very much who take the time to look and place the freebies for us.
