My Kindle knows when I've been drinking because after 2/3 large glasses it makes the screen go fuzzy.

Kittycat2000 I'm with you....one of my absolute favourites is White Zinfandel :-) Who cares what the 'wine buffs' say....I know what I like and I choose wine because I like it :-)x

Hello everyone...although I'm a Welsh girl, I live in Australia at the mo. The wine here is remarkable!! SOOOO cheap too. Trouble is it's so tempting to drink too much of it......hic (well it is 4.40pm) lol Up your clacker macker is the general toast! hic

Isabella that sounds divine, I'm guessing you don't live in cold, rainy Northern Ireland. I'm sure wine connoisseurs would turn up their noses but I like either a Blossom Hill white zinfandel or a Freixenet cordon negro cava. Both are available at my local tesco, happy days.

This year the white peaches have been really good, ripening properly and not going all wrinkly so on Sunday we had home-made bellinis. Died and gone to heaven! :)

Doublell, my son-inlaw enjoys Chateau neuf-du-Pape, and I try to get him a bottle at Christmas. I keep an eye on Tesco as they often have it on offer then, and last Christmas it was half price, which meant he could have two bottles :-)x

Love this post pixie....visualising you in Paris, drink in hand, watching the world go *back* LOL

A Chateauneuf-du-Pape for me. It's comparatively expensive but an occasional bottle disappears nicely over a weekend. I never drink white wine.

This thread is cruel, too cruel, but if I HAD to contribute, I would say a good chilled Pinot Grigio, in a carafe, sitting in the Italian sun...if I close my eyes..

Sounds good Pixie. Have a bottle of champagne in the fridge. Was supposed to drink it watching Olympics opening ceremony but......
Oh well the closing ceremony perhaps.

The best place to sup a kir...in my opinion is L'odeon in paris....on the left bank watching the world go back...it's not posh just a sprawling parisen bar that seves kir...bliss
