Is there any way to add different screen savers to my Kindle?

Search the internet. you have to download a hack file and copy it to the kindle. can then copy your own images on!

I've got a suspicion that newer Kindles will have different (or more) screensavers than older ones. At least, one of my friends thinks I've got a few on mine that weren't on his (before he got fed up of "pictures of dead authors" and hacked it to only show pictures he liked) and mine's only a few months newer.

Is there any way we'd be able to download extra ones from Amazon?

I would love to see the cover of the book you are currently reading displayed as the screen saver. Would help me remember authors and titles.

Brilliant idea. I can never remember what I'm reading and miss a cover picture, which you only get at the end of the book.

Here here. Cover picture of current book as a screensaver would be great.

Or maybe the screensaver could also be of the book you are currently reading??? I agree, it would be nice to have different choice of screensavers.

Kindle Keyboard, Wi-Fi, 6" E Ink Display
I love my Kindle but it would be great to have the book cover I am currently reading as the screensaver.

Apparently it will be in the UK this year. I have just got one from US - it is fantastic!

K. A. Newton says:
When reading a book click on Menu and TURN ON TEXT READER

At the bottom of the screen is your volume control - click on SHOW OPTIONS choose male or femal,

If you want to change speed of reading click on RATE and choose.

Click on screen and book reading will start.

I like the convenience of not having to turn pages and as I am a fast reader I choose Faster rate for the reader voice and then turn volume as low as possible so I get the page turned for me about 5/6 seconds after I finish reading it. The faster voice is too fast for general listening.

Can I get something to put on my Kindle screen so I can read outside without the glare?

In reply to an earlier post on 14 May 2012, 12:00:59 BST
Czajkers says:
What glare??!! It is precisely because I was amazed just how readable my wife's Kindle was in the bright sunshine on a Spanis beach that I bought one. I find it to be as easy to read as a paper book in bright sunshine, so I ams urprised to see you asking about glare?

Can't Amazon use it's creativity and download suitable ones to our machines, the default ones display a conspicuous lack of imagination.
