Can you imagine anyone taking up the kind offer? Evening Anita and Stella, hope you are both well.

In reply to an earlier post on 3 Oct 2014, 20:48:23 BST
I'm afraid I'd have to pass on that kind offer.

If anyone wants me to give a fair review on a book they have wrote I would certainly read it and comment if they so desired!!😇 The trouble people go through getting a book read by publishers ! After receiving many rejection slips they get more and more dissalusioned they become!Let's give them a chance to shine and take time to read their works instead of pulling it to pieces!!😇

I'll stand you a pint of Arthur's best next time you're over here, Chris. Two of them in fact since if you knew that much you also knew that what I'd thought an immediately obvious (& heavy-handed) pastiche of SP writing, was one.

Chris says:
Not the first Monica darling. Some of us thought of it yonks ago but never said. Could have got a pat on the head from you too. Damn, damn and blast.

Erm, did you re read that before you posted it on line? 'I do hope you are not planning on be owing an Author?' What does that mean? Also author should not be capitalised and there is a space missing after eg.

Dearie me, did you re read that before you posted it on line? The grammar, spelling, eg"plastik" balls with an apostrophe? I do hope you are not planning on be owing an Author.....

Joolz, congratulations--you're the first one who's figured out why I chose that user name.

I Readalot says:
Then that should be is that your real 'moniker', so although the gag works verbally, not so good when written! Incidentally, given the writing standard of most of the SP books and posts by SP authors that minor error alone would not preclude monica from being an author.

Joolz says:
feel like they're writers, monica! Obviously you are not. BTW is that your real monica? ;-)

think it depends how many people report them as abuse... but even that isn't always a sure thing! I do think if amazon impose rules then they should police them properly.

Chris says:
Hey, wh'dda ya know, Amazon does delete phony posts from people pretending to rave about books they clearly wrote themselves. Would have thought that would have been a slightly awkward area, and that they would only delete the ones that are outright self-promo.
Curious as to why some of them, even the outright ones, never get deleted. Can't work out Amazon's thinking.

"don't you bunch of saddos have nothing better to do". Surely that should be *do* you bunch of saddos have nothing better to do. Can't speak for anyone else, but no would be my answer:).

I wish I had the time and energy to get involved in arguments with people I will never meet or agree with. You lucky people. P.S. carocaro -I was amused by your post saying that your school 'had corporal nourishment for several years after it was banned in local co ed schools'. Corporal nourishment eh? Sounds nasty!!

don't worry about it-- judging by Roy's post he has some issues he needs to work through-- my post was generally supportive of what he had to say i.e. I accepted that mistakes happen and just raised an alternative point.
now, the interesting thing about Roy's post is that he accused me and others of having nothing better to do even though the fact that it took me 3 weeks to see his post shows that I obviously did have other things to do hence the delay in reading his post. Roy on the other hand responded to my post soon after I posted it suggesting that the one with nothing better to do than hang around on this forum is actually him.
oh well... ;)
