Delivery is so slow now. You now have to wait 4 days minimum before it it is dispatched to a non express delivery. Minimum 7days. Mostly now it doesn't seem worthwhile as all the excitement has gone and you are always out when it turns up so you end up waiting again. Clothes and shoes used to be posted straightaway and you got them within 3days.
I tried the premium free trial and it was fast ,probably too fast as different carriers used so you had to stay in all day as some deliver in the morning and others early evening.
So now there is no happy medium such as 3 days. It is either next day at a cost of a movies service I would never use or around 7 /10 days.
Asda, tesco, waitrose, m&s, Debenhams, John lewis and next are so much better with delivery and pick up ( not using some obscure box ) at stores.
And dispatching now?

Edit title to dispatching now after preparing. What is that all about?

I've had the same experience. Day after day preparing to dispatch. On a recent occasion I got in touch with customer support and asked them to find who was responsible for dispatching and ask them to get a move on. I suppose at the end of the day if we as customers are that troubled then we have the option of voting with our feet (wallets).

Why not take advantage of the Amazon Locker option and have it delivered to a local locker? If you're always out when parcels are delivered and are always waiting for redelivery, maybe this is the best way to ensure you always get them at your convenience.

I have the luxury of always having somebody at home or next door to take my parcels. If not, I can use my work address and have parcels sent to work where they will be received during business hours.
