Cheers for that Scarls appreciate it ;)

I remember when even in the early naughties you could still get a job pretty easily after losing or leaving the last one but in the past 5 years or so it's not that easy.

I just hope after the next election, things improve but i hope to be in work long before then :)

Kev, I went to the Job Centre - with proof of job searches so I could claim benefits - had never done that before - felt like a walk of shame. Time are hard.

Exactly, Scarls, I always used to say when i first started work, that i'd never go down that route but life has a nasty tendency of not listening :(

Anyway on a cheery note, what other favourite songs do you have?

Scarly

Have you ever read the false story about what the song In the air tonight is about?

According to the false story, Phil collins allegedly failed to save someone from drowning but as usual, it was all bulls*** and Phil collins has said that the song was written as he was going through a divorce at the time and that he was angry, yet the song got twisted into something it wasn't.

In no particular order.
Vienna (Ultravox)
Black Sabbath (Black Sabbath)
God Save The Queen (Sex Pistols)
Heart Of Darkness (Pere Ubu)
Born In The USA (Springsteen)
Smoke On The Water (Deep Purple, though the live version when Gillan was with the Sabbs is better, IMO!)
Love Will Tear Us Apart (Joy Division)
Rusholme Ruffians (The Smiths)
Cherry Red (Groundhogs)
Music In A Doll's House (Album) (Family) brilliant live and much underrated.
Fragile (Album) (Yes)
There are more, even Phil Collins' In The Air.................................................the drum bit!

Bit pedantic I know, but wasn't it The Smiths then?

I'm only in my early thirties but i love the rock of the past and in particular Deep purple's Child in time. Love the guitar solo and Gillan's vocals :)

I find it dificult to listen to some of Dad's favourite tunes Kev, as he is no longer around - however, he would listen to whatever my favorite was and then completely change the words and sing to me. Used to drive me mad!
