It occurred to me that we might start a forum for silly b,s like us to generally talk rubbish online without offending the seriously sane in our community. Needless to say, our main focus is on good food, cooking and eating and Suzysunshine will be our chairperson, Pixie could be our secretary cos she,s fairly sensible, Los Bogas will continue to be Los Bogas and I will be an innocent bystander, what do you think, all welcome. Carole Hodson xx

Thanks for providing me with a chair Carole!
Ooooh, can I have a gold throne trimmed with red velvet?

Surely you want to be an honorary trustee of this Forum for Fruitcakes?

And Olga Bass could be Secretary as I have been reliably informed
that she is also a founder member of Plain English Campaign.

Do we get nametags too! Oh yes! And our very own padded strait jackets!
Baggsy me an orange one - white really does nothing for me so I don't do much for it either.

Oh squirrels - Carole! You've forgotten to invite Stintoto Trebostine!

sigh,.....I hope Pixie WILL be here for the AGM?
She's been missing in action for a fortnight now.

Yes, I,m missing her imp-put, pixie and I share an obsession with cookery books, she understands me and we,re going counselling together, page by page on the way to recovery!

Mr Potato Head is quite a silly foodie person.

If he's a personal friend of yours wobberoo, then he's very welcome.
Perhaps he could come on board as our consultant Food Stylist -
I have always admired his unique taste in facial accessories.

wobberoo says:
Does that position come with a hat? If so, I feel he'd be honoured to accept!

Posted on 25 May 2012, 00:35:37 BST
Depends? - is he also driving - now there's a familiar thread!

In reply to an earlier post on 25 May 2012, 00:37:34 BST
wobberoo says:
Quite likely to be driving,he runs a mobile chippy!

Hmmm, a very a-peeling candidate!
Night-Night wobberoo, sleep tight x

Of course you can have a hat, but it must have a flat top in case we need you to carry the fish like they did in Billingsgate, we like the old ways best.xx carole

You must have been relatively affluent back then.I could have only dreamed of owning a cap, until recent promotion enabled me to proudly sport mine.

It's compulsory in Stockport!
We are all as mad as Hatters here -
In fact, we even have our own museum to prove it!

Course you can, all welcome. As long as you are prepared to bare your soul in the name of grub, good or bad, success or failure and are prepared to put up with a certain amount of pure foolishness you,re in. Xxcarole xx, did you read my diatribe on scone making yet?

Posted on 25 May 2012, 23:28:15 BST
Oh Yes Carole,
I was particularly impressed by your very unique style of baking -

"Susannah. Keep as wet as possible without being too sticky to handle,".....! ? ! ?

Where on earth do you make them? - in the paddling pool in your back garden?

Lol x Lol x Lol x

susannah says:
Yes I did read all the messages and tomorrow I'll have a bash at making some scones but I have a feeling they will remain my bugbear.
I'm always willing to bear my soul for grub and I'm renowned for foolishness. xx Sioux

I can just picture it -

Sioux 'V' Scone - who will win in this battle for supremacy?

For susannah - press one,.....For scone - press two,.....

Only you can decide, cooking doesn't get much tougher than this John,.....scone - you are the weakest link, goodbye!
