Well... I've just finished a lovely pale pink over sized ballet jumper in fine mohair... Not that I will be throwing myself about like the sugar plum fairy ;)

My niece is 7 next month, so I'm going to buy her, her very first sewing machine... This book has great reviews so I'm going to get this to go with it. She is coming home with me on her birthday and staying for a week, so we'll have lots of fun pottering around Oxford Street for fabric... I think I am more excited then she will be...

You going on the cable car? I'm gagging to go on it. You'll have so much fun!

Smollensky's in the strand really cater for kids.....some good old "Home cooked" fast food!

Oooh the cable car! What a fab idea! I'll take a look at prices, I will certainly take her to Smollenky's for a nice lunch, I love that I get her all to myself for a week! Like most kids she behaves herself when she's not with her Mum ;)

Sounds like fun!!
Good to see you posting again Debs.
I should have plenty of time to quilt this coming month...doesn't look like I'll be working much, unfortunately. I need time off but I don't get paid if I don't work. Sigh.

Hey Ori, bad news on the lack of work next month, but I am looking forward to seeing some if your quilting. The Paneer looked brilliant! I still haven't attempted any cheese yet...

If I win the lottery I will send you some summer pocket money ;) x

Y'all are sweet. I'll just enjoy the rest. As DH said, "Well we'll have a summer holiday in the other part of the flat!" Flat on my back in the bed watching DVDs under the AC? I'm all over that like a rash! ;)

I'm addicted to sewing and knitting and machining :)

What was the program called that you guys were all talking about on here a few months ago? A knitting program I think? Someone at work has recommended it to me but could remember what it was called! xx

It's too hot to do much outside now. I think the UK is going to get a taste of the weather we have in this part of the world for the next couple of weeks. Which means it could either get seriously hot here or cool down.

I dug out my watercolours yesterday and am now making a very bad job of painting a picture of some violas. I took a photo of them a few weeks back. I bought them to flower in the tubs last winter and they have flowered none stop but I think the heat is going to finish them off very soon.

I envy you your AC Ori. We've just got fans, ceiling ones, floor ones, desk ones & pedestal ones.
I'm going to shut the shutters at the weekend. They will stayed locked shut until October.
It's 29C indoors at the moment ( it feels comfortably cool) 34C outside in the shade and 41C in the sun, at 5pm our time and 6pm your time.
