Happy End of the World Everybody!!

Hope it's not instant , got a lot of lovely food to eat first. Not to mention the contents of the drinks cabinet.

Mind you it might have already happened. The fog is so thick outside I can se what's going on.

We're still here, and likely to be.
My world may end when the plumber gets here, though. We have a slow leak where the water pipes come into our flat. Not looking forward to this...the double-size water bill was bad enough, but I bet the insurance will refuse to cover the leak. Ours will say it's the co-ops responsibility and the co-op will say it's ours.

Did you see the programme happy? Even the Mayan's don't believe it and it was their prophecy! Rather than the end I think it's the start of a new phase....Just in case I'm having a big plate of chips tonight and curry sauce! Lol!

It's just the end of the calendar. The mayans saw time as cyclical. They didn't predict the end of the world.
I was watching the news this morning with all of the idiots waiting for the end. <facepalm>

Just a few minutes to go - 11.17am GMT according to those in the know. Just time for a cup of coffee and a mince pie, just to be on the safe side.

Hope Roo has got plenty of lemon drizzle cake with him . Never know how long he'll have to wait to get new supplies.

Fog is lifting, nice sunny day. The neighbours are very quiet, usually tractors racing backwards and forwards. Even the dogs are quiet. Most probably yet another public holiday I was unaware of!

"It's the end of the world as we know it. It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it? - and I feel fine!"

Apart from opening all of my Christmas presents early - and then eating over 10 kg of Chocolate Brazils?!
So? no real change there either then!!! ;o>

Glad you ok, my friends little boy said ' if the world is going to end, can I open my presents early?' Not daft kids eh! Mmm choc Brazil's. I love the yoghurt ones too

And Roo's okay too. He just called me to see if I was still alive! But I think he was probably far more worried about the potential loss of his beloved Lemon Drizzle Cake?! - HA HA HA!!! - LOL!!! ;o>

Suppose it's rather a good thing the world didn't end, not least because finding this topic on a cookery forum made me think of how much nicer it would be to have a few truffle-stuffed baby larks, potatoes Anna cooked in butter churned by one of my lackeys, and a good deal of cognac in my belly when the apocalypse arrives rather than home-made trail mix and fruit juice. No doubt tomorrow when I wonder what to eat for breakfast I'll take into consideration what the undigested remains of it would tell a forensic pathologist should I die before lunch-time . . .

Monica, truffle stuffed baby larks, I hope you were only joking, even the staunchest meat eaters on here would draw the line at that and poor old Spock will have his own personal apocalypse.xxxx tweet tweet?
