I wondered if you could help me with a title of a film.
I think it is set before and during the second world war. And made way before the 1960's. The plot from what I can remember is that a family take in an orphan girl. The family consists of 3 sons I think. They all grow together and the boys each go off to war. The girl falls for 2 of the brothers, again I think, but for some reason she can't or doesn't want to be with either of them.
There is one scene where she gives back a necklace to one of the brothers that he had given to her.
The film ends where the house they grew up in is getting bombed (which makes me think this is set in London during the blitz) and one of the brothers struggles back to save her. The girl has dark hair.
I know not a lot to go on.
