hi, I'm doing research for my university project about what people look for when buying / borrowing books for their children?
also if anyone has time to take a short survey about answering questions about their favourite children's story books I'd be really grateful.

Maths Mummy says:
I look for something relevant to them at the time. If we are going on holiday - is there a book set there?
If they are doing a topic at school - can we find something similar. When they are small if they are 'into' dinosaurs then books with dinosaurs in them. When they are older they must have something exciting to hold their interest, follow an author they have enjoyed. No one answer as many things come into play.
