Please do not use these discussion forums to promote your own book. It is both unwelcome and against Amazon rules. From the "Important Announcement from Amazon":

"With the advent of the new (`Meet Our Authors') community, we will no longer allow self-promotional posts in other communities.

Starting on December 15, 2011, all "shameless self-promotion" activity will be limited to the `Meet Our Authors' community."

Put your spam in the "Meet Our Authors" forum. That's what it's for.

As a writer you may find it useful to note that words sometimes have more than one meaning.

Mollyah, you can't use the ''I'm new' excuse here. You have already been told that self-promo is only allowed in the 'Meet Our Authors Forum' and yet here you are again in the bio. Just a few posts above yours you will see that Tom C has warned yet another spammer,

I'm part-way through "Smoke in the Lanes" by Dominic Reeve (which I put on my Kindle yesterday afternoon). The author describes the "travelling" lifestyle he pursued during the 1950s and 60s. I am finding it enthralling as it gives a real insight (warts and all!) into a people who, these days, are usually portrayed in a totally negative light. Reeve is a good writer and he knows his subject. Having been born into a gypsy family who decided to give up travelling and pursue a settled existence, he got the chance for an education. Then, later, he chose to go back to his roots, travelling in horse-drawn van, living off his wits. Don't be put off by the occasional use of Romany terms or by dialogue which carries an authentic whiff of the way his fellow-travellers speak.

Thank you for that vote of confidence! The simple fact is that self-promo is only allowed in the Meet Our Authors Forum. The majority of authors keep to this rule and they get very tetchy when others don't. Mollyah had been reminded of this fact in a previous discussion and was provided with the link to the MOA. Also, don't you think that people should at least read some of the posts in a thread before posting themselves? You are obviously new to this and are unaware that before the MOA was set up every discussion was full of self-promo and there were more self-promo threads than discussion threads. Take a look at the MOA, that is what the fiction forum was like.

Yes we probably are frustrated, frustrated that some people appear to be unable to read and understand the rules of this site. And do you think that insulting other forum members in that way is appropriate when you 'know' none of us and have absolutely no idea of what you are talking about?

I Readalot - we the nobodies (and nobodies with character trends at that, interesting) will never buy the so hardly pushed crapscribblings, so let some wriggling be allowed. How badly frustrated you must be to post something like that?

But then, I probably misinterpreted Ms JC's post. She says: "Your just a bunch of frustrated, distrusting and judgemental nobody's"

Nobody's what? There's some last word missing. So - your bunch of nobody's something. What she meant by that is beyond me. She must surely be a writer, considering the level of literacy :)

:) good point. Possibly a writer, obviously has a superiority complex, we are the nobodies so therefore she must be a somebody (or something) does a nobody insult another person by calling them a nobody?

Flygirl Adventures: An Autoflyography'Flygirl Adventures' by Anita Mays is a pretty amazing read... Rather than being focused on the rich & famous telling us about themselves, she focuses on tellings us all about what they get up to whilst she flew them around as their pilot on their private jets... Apparent Rod Stewart was easy to please ;-)
