- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 1 July 2019The debut album of the Detroit Beatles is a triumph of imagination, melody and wit. Jack White slots in to the group and in no way dominates the proceedings, which must be a change for him. It sounds like a modern take on classic 60's/70's albums, but its no pastiche. Its a great hime recording, which shows what you can do these days. The rhythm section is superb and solid, but it is the songs and the vocals - such nice variety and taste - that steal the show.
Please have a listen.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 June 2021Love the album.. and of course it sounds so much better on vinyl, but was most disturbed to find a torn inner sleeve as well as several marks and fingerprints on the vinyl, cleaned up well, but clearly been returned and sold as new without checking condition...expect more.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 February 2016my sister was very pleased with it.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 August 2017Disappointingly poor at first listen but it has become a favorable cd after a few more goes and now I really like it. It stands up well alongside 'Consolers of the Lonely' and contains some good tracks with that typical sound that Jack White produces and the lyrics to match.
If you're a White Stripes or Dead Weather fan this will go well with your collection.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 July 2015GREAT SOUND !!!.......that a person who grew up with all the great artists of the 60s and 70s,...like myself... can REALLY enjoy !!!
REAL talented musicians....with NO "Techno crap"!!!....just SOLD "from the soul"music !!!!
It is getting harder to find music like this !....more up and coming artists should go back and search the old roots....something I think this band managed to do !
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 July 2014I bought this after hearing Steady as she Goes ,on the radio. I was surprised how good the other tracks were.
The only thing I have that includes Jack White is It Might Get Loud, so I wasn't that aware of his work.
After hearing this ,I shall start collecting. Starting with more Raconteurs. I don't think you'll be disappointed
With this.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 May 2006This album is ok, but none of the songs are nearly as good as "Steady, as she goes", which is annoying because if they were this would be one of the best albums of all time. Some magazines have been giving this album good reviews based on that one song and I thought it was going to be absolutely amazing until NME gave it 6 out of 10. I listened to it and the only other reasonable songs on it are "Hands" and "Store Bought Bones". Another thing that annoyed me was the extremely simple lyrics at the start of the song called, "Together", I thought their songs would have sophisticated lyrics but these wouldnt look out of place in a poem written by a 10 year old.

Cliente AmazonReviewed in Italy on 22 October 20195.0 out of 5 stars bello

DarrenReviewed in Australia on 26 May 20195.0 out of 5 stars Another Great Album from The Raconteurs
Album was in perfect condition, love it. If you're a fan of Jack White (White Stripes) then you should like the The Raconteurs (known as The Saboteurs in Australia). One of two albums released by the band. Happy listening.

LucasReviewed in Mexico on 14 August 20155.0 out of 5 stars Excelente album!
