Product Description

Two animated folk tales using puppetry and original music. In the Emmy-winning 'The Fool of the World and the Flying Ship' Pyotr, a young boy, comes across a magic flying ship that takes him on a journey where he meets all kinds of characters. Meanwhile Pyotr has to outwit the evil Tsar Nikolai, using what he has learnt from the people he has met on his journey, and win the love and hand of the beautiful Princess. 'Cinderella' tells the story of Cinders and her Fairy Godmother who helped Cinders win the love of the Prince.

A good old fashioned folk tale for all ages!

This story is delightfuly told, in a clear, concise and very visual way. It is a story with 'goodies' and 'baddies', humour and hardship, but guess who comes out on top? It is accompanied by a catchy little musical theme which accompanies each stage of the story,but unlike some 'background' music this actually reinforces the plot. My children, and others have enjoyed watching this story many times and I hope others do to.

Absolutly enchanting

Having watched this constantly as a child when my video was destroyed I was devastated. For years I searched for The Fool thinking in the end it had all be a sweet dream of mine and it had never exsisted. Now here it is on DVD and not worth missing! This story is beautiful, animation is beautiful and will not fail to entrance young and old. I urge people to buy it now!

ENCHANTMENT IN A BOX!

I dug out some of my very old, home recorded videos from the loft and came across this fantastic film. I sat and watched it but was disappointed when the picture kept flicking and going fuzzy and liney so, I decided to see if by chance you could buy it on DVD (but I did not expect to be able to). I'm chuffed to bits that I've been able to order this film...It's a truely magical and so well animated film. With its beautiful story line, lovely music and wonderful characters, it's worth buying, whether you're young or old. Curl up on the sofa with a cuppa and some of your favourite biscuits and watch this wonderful "feel good" film this winter!

Best Stop-Motion Film

I grew up watching this film, and it is a beautiful example of early stop motion. An intriguing and enthralling storyline, with beautifully hand-crafted and original characters. The imagery is astounding and creatively shot. It truly is a masterpiece of it's time which transcends generations!
A must see not only for film lovers, but for the whole family to enjoy!

Classic magic

My parents recently got hold of this DVD and I was well chuffed, this film was amazing when I was younger and it is still amazing now. This is one of the most unique films you will ever see, one that you will no doubt watch again and again as I have. It's a classic piece of magical film making and will entertain anyone, so go buy it, now!
