Product Description

The complete adventures of the Gogs family, including all the material from 'Gogs', 'Gogs 2' and 'Gogwana'. The Gogs are a dysfunctional stone-age family struggling to survive in the harshest of environments, dealing with such problems as inclement weather, killer dinosaurs and, most perilously, each other's violent moodswings. Eventually, after their dwelling is destroyed in an earthquake, the Gogs find themselves homeless and begin to follow a large, bright star in the hope that it will lead them to a new home.

Hilarious cave man caper including all manner of crude bodily functions. Slapstick humour, killer plants, chomping dinos, erupting volcanoes and a wonderful homage to THAT Raquel Welch furry bikini scene. Kids loved it, as did I. Very naughty of South Welsh makers to call it Gogs though - an anti North Wales dig transparent to any Welsh speaker.

It's rude, it's crude and it's so funny. I mean laugh out loud funny. This will not only appeal to the child in you, but if you've got kids they'll love it as well. It's not easy to find but if you manage to hunt a copy down your funny bone will love you.
If this had been shown on one of the major networks instead of that true minority channel S4C then I'm absolutey certain that it would have been a world wide hit, I mean forget 'The Simpsons' this is just so much funnier. Note - Don't let that reference to S4C put you for this isn't in Welsh, it predates any and every language. 'The Gogs' is without a shadow of a doubt the best thing to ever be shown on S4C, come to that it's one of the funniest things to be shown on any TV channel.

My son used to love the Gogs and he borrowed the video from a friend. We all thought it was great, and now 20 years on when I discovered the DVD I thought I had to have it for my grandsons. They haven't seen it yet, but my husband and I watched it. It was fun, but not quite as hilarious as we'd remembered, and a little repetitive. However, I'm sure my grandchildren will like it - all that lavatorial humour is just up their street. Not for the squeamish.

Great fun for all the family, my grandchildren couldn't stop laughing.
Some scenes have gross stuff like the baby doing massive poos but it's all so funny. Highly recommended.

Great Claymation

This DVD has all the episodes of The Gogs. They are hilarious plastercene characters and well done in stop frame animation.

It is about a family of cavemen, and the troubles they encounter. They don't speak, but grunt, burp and fart a lot.

Some reviews below have mentioned that there is no main menu, but most DVD remote controls have a 'Top Menu' or 'Title menu' button, which should take you to the main menu.

They are great to watch once in a while, but to watch all at once they can get a bit the same.

I thought the dinosaur in the second episode was especially well animated, and the baby of the family expressions are hilarious.

They have some very funny scenes and well worth a watch!
