Book overview

From the subterrean depths of comics' most innovative mind comes a supremely deranged duo. Alan Moore (Watchmen, Promethea) and Alan Davis (Captain Britain, X-Men) are proud (and should be ashamed) to present D.R. & Quinch. Outrageous, unrestrained and heavily armed, college students D.R. & Quinch gleefully provide irredeemably poor role-modelling for today's youth. Comes complete with tips on death, extremely painful death and the art of total destruction. Wildly offensive tales of alien slime wars, deranged disaster movies, psychotic girlfriends and warped war veterans make for a volatile mix of malicious mayhem and deeply dark humour. Totally intense, manl

Your favourite delinquent aliens run riot through time and space.. anything that has this as a line "Y'know a kiss on the hand might be quite continental, man. But tactical thermonuclear weaponry is a guys best friend." is going to be lot of fun and a lot of wrong.

Funny and irreverant. I used to dip into 200AD but didnt remember this, it doesnt matter though as the stories stand on their own merit. I've handed this to friends who dont like comics and they still get into it!

This book reprints a humor strip they did for the UK's 2000 AD comic in the early 80s. D.R. and Quinch at two intergalactic hoodlums who start their careers by destroying the Earth in a practical joke. They go on to join the army, take over Hollywood and go girl crazy. I got a chuckle out of the book but not much more, it's a fun little read but not all that memorable.

Good for Alan Moore fans. A humourous stroll through the minds of two psychopaths who reject the sanctioned madness otherwise known as society. Moore always adds an interesting twist to the mundane realities that surround us. I wish it could have been longer but it collects all his work with these two characters. Good quality print but I somehow felt it was too short and thus a tad overpriced.
