How often should you use a massage chair?
When beginning to use your electric massage chair, try sitting in it once a week. Of course, you might find yourself wanting more than one session a week. For example, if you suffer from aches and pains you can use the massage chair on alternative days, i.e., about three or four times a week. Remember that if you choose a stronger pressure, you will need at least a day to recover as you might feel some soreness. While it may be tempting to spend time sitting in a massage chair every day, or even a few times a day, it is possible to overuse a massage chair. These chairs give an intense massage, and your body needs some rest between sessions. Standard guidelines advise to use the chair for about 15 minutes then change seat or, even better, go for a short walk to gain the full benefits of a massage. There are some contraindications to massage therapy, for example if you have a temperature, have chronic pain or an infection.
