Product Description

The simple, inexpensive and convenient way to fulfil your sewing needs. Every home encounters the necessity to sew from time to time, be it for minor repairs, or adjustments or maybe even light arts and crafts with children, but costly and bulky full sized sewing machines are not for everyone. What you need is the Mini-Stitch Sewing Machine!

Our sewing machine has two running stitch speed settings - use the low setting for delicate stitching and smaller areas and the high setting for larger areas and super speedy sewing! Speed can be controlled using the foot pedal or the low/ high switch.

The Mini-Stitch Sewing Machine is packed with fantastic features usually found on bigger, bulkier machines. Features include a bobbin rewinder, easy thread "drop-in" bobbin, bottom bobbin, extendable thread spindle for use with regular sized reels, flexible hand wheel for greater stitching control, tension adjuster to control the tightness of the stitch and foot pedal. What's more, it also comes complete with a FREE sizable sewing kit to get you started!

Set contains:

32 x cotton spools (assorted colours)
32 x pre-wound coloured bobbins
Assorted needles
Sewing scissors
2 x thimbles
2 x needle threaders
Seamless tape measure

Its compact size means that it can be stored easily in a cupboard or drawer after use. It can either be powered by the included mains adaptor, or 4xAA batteries, so you can even sew on the go!

If you are new to sewing there is an instruction manual to guide you along the way, and to make things even easier, the machine arrives at your door pre-threaded so you can begin sewing in minutes.

Please note: This is not a toy.

This is a great little machine, especially for the price. Doesn't sew thicker materials very well, but very easy to use and does the job I want. I would definitely recommend this.

So far I'm over the moon with this little cute machine. When I originally purchased it, I wasn't sure it was worth it, since a sewing machine for 12 pounds was probably not a good idea. But when I received it, I was glad I had bought it.

This little genius came to me with threaded with white and including 4 extra bobbins and a replacement needle, as well as a threading tool. Everything looked made from tough material, good enough to do proper sewing. Yesterday I did the hem of my jeans, which I had been putting off for ages and the bottoms were already looking pathetic. I also sewed my dress, which was only hand sewed to see how it would look, but I couldn't be bothered to do more. I am more than pleased with what the machine can do.

Because of its weight, it does move when I'm sewing, if my material is heavy, but that's normal, and I also have a bit of trouble starting the stitch, cause I need to make sure I hold the thread tightly, cause otherwise it comes out of the needle. Plus, I was not expecting it to be this loud for such a small machine. But besides those really small flaws, I love it.

I am a dedicated sewer and often buy clothes because of what I can make them into and since I moved to a new country, I've been frustrated with having to sew everything by hand. But this little fella saved my life. I hope I don't discover much more flaws with it as we go along, but to be frank for a 12 pound machine that comes with so many accessories and doesn't take up any space that I don't have anyway, the fact that it actually works and the stitches hold is good for me.

I would recommend it to everyone who often needs a few repairments of clothing and doesn't have the space or the money to invest in anything bigger and more complicated (oh, yeah, the threading and bobbin replacement is practically a game, my friend has a proper machine and we can't thread it for ages).

I never leave product reviews but this is such a brilliant product that I felt I must. It is very robust and as someone who has never used a sewing machine is very easy to use. It is excellent value for money and has already been used extensively in the week I've had it. I would recommend this machine to anyone.

This is my first sewing machine & I bought this so I could make a patchwork quilt & it was AMAZING. I hadn't used a sewing machine since school so about 16 years ago but it is very straight forward to use & very small and compact so easy to store. I've now hemmed trousers with it and am about to start another quilt. As a novice I don't have anything to compare it to but I have no complaints.

I am delighted with this product. Having never owned a sewing machine before I fancied a simple and cheap mini product to help me in my latest project - covering patio cushions with a thickish chenille material. Having 'shopped' around this product seemed the best deal. It came super fast within two days of ordering. The quality for the price is amazing - a sturdy body and lots of extras such as plenty of spare bobbins, a foot pedal, mains plug and a needle threader, which you are going to need unless you have bionic sight! It was easy to thread and the helpful bobbin winder technique saves time. The stitch is basic but strong - no reverse but understandable for the price. I had my covers done in a jiffy! The machine is small enough to fit in a drawer for next time. I would highly recommend this

This is a good little machine. As a first time user of a sewing machine I found it great to start with. I bought a 7 inch tablet pc and decided as a first project I would make a cover for it. I had a spare brand new flannel so I measured it up and it worked a treat. I did a dummy run first with an old t-shirt.

I found some useful videos on how to thread a sewing machines on youtube. With some trial an error I managed to create a good-looking cover for my tablet.

Its going to be great for small jobs.

update:- 13.02.11

I helped my 14 yr old daughter to narrow her school trousers. She'd tacked them up. Well the batteries were running out of the sewing machine which we only found out at the end. Once we put fresh batteries in, we were flying. The only thing was that because its so light she had to hold down the machine because the pulling of the trousers through made the machine move. But she was pleased with the job.
