You will need to unplug the dongle or change it over manually (by pressing the ps-button, selecting the speaker and toggling HDMI or steelseries).I hope this review helps you in some way.

It was on the expensive side, however my expectations were met and exceeded (longer battery life than expected). I am now a huge fan of the ski head bands too, as I find myself getting less of that headphone hair problem. The headphone design is super sleek and cool too.

I already own the arctis pro wireless for my pc. Wanted a set for my PS5 and these are really good value for money. Audio quality is great they are light and comfortable. The only minor issue when using them on a PS5 is the fact the PS5 automatically sets the audio output and mic to the headset whilst the wireless dongle is connected, so you have to manually set it to your tv if you aren't using the headset.. thats a Sony thing though obviously because they want you to buy their headset.

These headphones are extremely comfortable.
I came from hyperx cloud alphas which were also good but these are next level comfort.
Audio quality is good and can be tweaked and saved via the window software. These tweaks do save for console. I'm using PS5.
Build quality is also good but could perhaps be a little better but they do feel solid.
Connectivity is also good. No drops while going to the kitchen for coffee!
Lastly battery life is good. I can usually get about 3x7/8 hr sessions before charging.
I tried arctis 7 which are almost identical. So if you're on a budget they might be a better offer
Edit.. After 6 months left ear stopped working and had to return to amazon.

Got these for my weekly dnd sessions, tried them for the first time last night and they were great. I wore them for three hours and they were really comfortable, I pretty much forgot I was wearing them. The mic is fine for what I need and the sound quality was really good. The mute button is really handy and the sidetone roller is handy, I was able to get just the right level of my own voice so that it didn't feel weird but wasn't annoying.
The transmitter works really well and the range is great, I was able to wander away from my computer for a while and the sound didn't falter at all (my regular bluetooth headphones tend to get a bit dicey at that kind of distance). I've tested it on my PS4, Switch and PC and it's great across all of them. I'm glad I went with the 7P instead of settling for a pair of 7's because the usb c dongle is much smaller, my only issue with it is that it's really long so if I plug it directly into my computer it covers another slot so I have to use the usb-a cable.
All in all they're really good and I'm very happy with them.

Great quality headphones, really comfortable on my head, for some decent gaming sessions. Using them on my PS5. I haven’t used the mic a great deal, I bought them for when the kids n Mrs were working and schooling at home and they’re perfect for this. They’ve gone back and I’m still using them, the directional sound is very good, used in COD and currently Valhalla.
Very simple to set up, connected straight away with no difficulties, and although I don’t play for very long periods, only charges them twice, had them over a month!
Recommend and usual great prompt service from Amazon.

I've been after a headset for the PS5 since buying it last year and I tried the official PS5 pulse 3d headset which I returned because I found the sound to be awful and the build quality was poor. This SteelSeries Arctis 7P however is just phenomenal. Build quality is amazing, very solid but still lightweight and is extremely comfortable, even with glasses! I don't use the Mic but I wanted to experience the 3D audio from Spiderman Miles Morales, Demon souls and Returnal and it's just WOW! Way better than using the TV speakers and honestly the best headset for the PS5 right now in my opinion.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wireless gaming on a budget without any audio lag
Reviewed in the United States on 20 September 2021
The media could not be loaded.
The SteelSeries Arctis 7P comes with a USB-C dongle for wirelessly connecting to your PC, PlayStation 4, PS5 and even your cell phone. This is a wireless headset that connects using a 2.4GHz wireless RF USB dongle, rather than Bluetooth. While that means the headphones are a little less versatile, you don’t need to spend as much time pairing anything, and it has no noticeable latency at all, which was what decided me to get this model, versus any other Bluetooth headset.

This headset is also really comfortable. After briefly adjusting the Velcro suspension strap, I easily settled in for a number of comfortable gaming sessions. The strap was comfortable and elastic, applying just the right amount of pressure to keep the headset snug on my head.

However, it being wireless, walking around my apartment occasionally made it feel a little loose. These headphones are definitely designed for use while seated, despite not actually needing to be all that close to whatever you’re gaming on. Even relatively gentle movement can jostle things a bit.

Also, loved the fact I could plug the USB-C dongle to my phone, and use the headset to make hand free calls.

In short…

GOOD 👍
+ Good sound.
+ Solid connectivity options.
+ No audio lag.
+ Long range.
+ Good surround sound.
+ Comfortable.
+ Can be used on different devices equipped with USB-C port.

NOT SO GOOD 👎
- Reliance on an app for using some features.
- Slightly overemphasized bass.
- Mic struggles with bass.

In conclusion, this is a reasonably priced, fully featured, and convenient wireless headphone. It doesn't nail everything, but hits an overall bar of quality you'd have to spend considerably more to match.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love this headset! Perfect for PS5 Gaming!
Reviewed in Canada on 28 July 2021
Bought these as I saw many good reviews on YouTube about them, and was looking for an upgrade of my previous wireless headset. This headset is super light and comfy! the sound quality is fantastic and mic quality very good too. My favorite feature is the ability to scale the mic feedback so that you can hear yourself, and eliminates that muffled feeling while speaking so you're never feel like you're yelling. My only con with this headset is the USB-C dongle. Due to its design, it covers the front USB port on the PS5, so you are unable to use the port for charging controllers. This headset does however come with a wire, so that you can wire it to the controller. Battery life on this is also top tier. I have a back-up wired headset, but have not needed to use it once since getting this. Highly recommend getting this for any PS gamer!!
