Great value 720p 30fps capture card

Wanted something the kids could capture gameplay from Nintendo Switch and Xbox One. This is fine for them and decent value.
Spec is a bit misleading. Regardless of input, will only capture at 30fps 720p/1080p. There's noticeable flickering when capturing 60fps gameplay and some flickering still at 30fps so I've added a bit of capture to show this.
There's a loss of visual quality from the loop vs straight in to the monitor/tv via HDMI as expected. My kids noticed but were happy to play still. A decent card for the price providing you're not expecting professional output!

Using this in a hyperion setup. There is a LOT of fiddling around with this product. Especially if you turn it off. When you turn it back on there seems to be no throughput to the TV so you are constantly plugging and unplugging the HDMI and power cables until it 'eventually' springs to life. Hit and miss. Currently on my TV it is un-wired as I cant be bothered to stand there and get it working and will prob not be used again. If you leave it switched on forever it will be a good product.

Doesn't do more than 30 fps at any resolution

This device works as long as you don't want to pass through more than 30 fps. This means the picture looks decidedly flickery when attempting to capture any real HD. Neither does it strip off the HDCP from most sources so the HDMI from the output comes up blank on the monitor. The USB though still passes the signal through to the computer so it is recordable and watchable on the computer monitor. Not quite what I was hoping for.

Great price, I use to own one of these for my ps2/PS4 . Then sold it, decided to buy it again for streaming old Xbox games BUT it came up all pink. I was using the original xbox adapter that is hdmi ready and assumed it would plug and play BUT as soon as I turn it on it was all pink. So I unplugged the cable from capture card and plugged it in tv as normal and all is well BUT when plugging it back in the capture card it is still ALL PINK.
