    Estamos ante una abrumadora recopilación de la carrera de uno de los mejores cantantes que ha dado la historia de la música popular. GLEN CAMPBELL (1936-2017) permaneció en activo durante 50 años y en la década de los 60 y primeros 70 fue uno de los máximos vendedores de discos en USA. Comenzó como guitarrista de estudio interviniendo en decenas de grabaciones (muchas de ellas en la factoría SPECTOR) y a partir de 1967 teniendo tras él al compositor JIM WEBB encadenó una serie de éxitos absolutamente apabullantes que renovaron el sonido de la música "country & western". Este estuche que abarca hasta sus últimas grabaciones contiene 78 canciones que suponen ese inmenso "Legado" que se fue almacenando a lo largo de los años y que ningún buen aficionado debe dejar pasar.

    スタジオミュージシャンとして　カントリーシンガーしての彼を半世紀以上の長い期間に渡って聴いてきた。新曲が出れば気にはなるし心地よい歌声は下手な鼻歌にピッタリだがそれまでであった。
    白色アメリカ人受けする歌手としての彼を再発見しようと思ったのは　一昨年（2019年）に観た映画「アルツハイマーと僕」にあった。アルツハイマー病が進行する中　家族は彼の生きがいであるツアーステージを用意して生涯（2017年没）を全うさせる。家族愛とともに充実した彼の人生の終わりを見せてもらった。

    そのような背景があり彼の一生を綴った4枚組CDを購入　正直なところ最後まで飽きずに聴けるかどうか心配であったが全くの杞憂であった。
    The Bee Geesで馴染みのあった"Turn around look at me"(1960年）から始まり　心地良い歌声が温かい雰囲気を作り聞き手を包み込む。上手い（と言われているし実際に素晴らしいと感じた）多くの歌い手を聴いてきたが　だれ一人彼のように歌えてはいない。
    講釈は不要　聴くしかない　騙されたと思って。
