Q: How does the chain wear out and need to be replaced?
A: Generally speaking, if the stretching rate reaches 1%, the chain can be replaced.
Q: What kind of situation will increase the wear and tear of the chain?
A: When the heavy-duty gear shifts, the chain is excessively oblique. If too much mud in itwill increase the wear of the inner ring, or expand the bolt and the chain hole, which will increase the elongation and reduce the service life of chain.
Q: What should we pay attention to when installing the chain?
A: At present, the new generation of chains is designed to be riveted. The ends of the bolts are enlarged to increase the rotating force in the oblique direction. Such chains cannot be directly disassembled. The installation must use the specified bolts or quick buckles. For the old chain, the two ends of the bolt are flat, so it can be smoothly penetrated by using a special chain-knitting device and aiming at the hole position during installation. After that, a slight lateral force is applied to make sure that the chain can run smoothly.
Q: Can the chain of different speeds be universal?
A: In theory, the chain can be backward compatible, but the chain widths of 8, 9, 10, and 11 speeds are different. The main purpose is to cope with the different gap between flywheels. The 9 speed chain can be used in the 8 speed flywheel. However, due to the gap created by occlusion, it may cause speed variations or noise. Therefore, cross-speed use is not recommended.
Note: The service life of the chain depends on the riding strength and maintenance. Avoid extreme gearshift when riding.

    La catena è arrivata oggi, l'ho montata sulla MTB che ha la trasmissione 10v e sono uscito a pedalare! Il prezzo è veramente ultra competitivo, si tratta di una catena con maglie traforate, completamente sigillata e con falsa maglia in dotazione!

    Il peso è di 271 gr con 116 maglie! Un ottimo peso, anche se non arriva a quello delle KMC ultra light, ci possiamo accontentare.

    Dalle foto potete notare che le maglie sono leggermente più larghe rispetto alla catena 10 originale, e questo significa che è sicuramente più adatta ad una trasmissione 9v, rispetto alla 10v... Però: se avete una trasmissione con componenti originali (cassetta e guarnitura shimano o sram) 10V, andà benissimo ugualmente!

    Io ho una cassetta particolare, con i pignoni leggermente più sottili e ci va proprio a limite, l'importante è che non urti tra i pignoni o sul telaio (vedi foto con cerchio rosso), altrimenti toccherà sostiturla!

    La falsamaglia, che qualcuno tra le recensioni ha trovato debole, in realtà ha una tenuta molto forte e non è nemmeno facile da installare essendo ad incastro.

    Ho usato la cera liquida per lubrificarla (non amo gli oli untuosi in estate)! La catena si comporta benissimo, ed è abbastanza silenziosa nonostante debba ancora fare "la faccia"! Anche le cambiate sono precise e fulminee.

    Aggiornerò la recensione nel caso dovessi avere problemi, ma non credo! L'importante è montarla bene, assicurarsi che non urti al telaio, impostare bene il fine corsa e ....via a pedalare!!!
