Always Mine is book 2 in the St. Fleur Series, from author A.J. Renee and my Second book from this author, and I cannot wait to see what other great stories I can read from this author, and what else she will bring to this series.
This book was brilliant read that I couldn’t put down. I loved reading about the two characters in this book they are captivating to read and I liked everything about them. I loved every minute of this book, there was a lot more action in this one, it was fast paced, yet never rushed. There were also situations that happened in this book that I really didn’t expect to happen that shocked me.Read more ›
The story picks up a couple of days after the incident which left Sophia shock up but Lindsay is there to the rescue. While going about her day to day activities she is organising cover for the library for the last seminar in her course at the University. As she enters the university she meets her friend Elaine and they have a laugh and a joke until they are interrupted by Donald another member of the class.
After the seminar she returns back to St Fleur were she is invited to Noah’s and Sophia’s for a BBQ and while she is waiting for her boyfriend Derek to arrive she ponders whether he is the right man for her. When Derek arrives they head next door where Lindsay is hit the force that is Marc, Noah’s best friend and Lindsay’s pain in the ass. This man is infuriating and she is unsure why this man gets under her skin so much, but while they are at the BBQ Lindsay happens to mention her brother and the blocks fall into place with Marc and he realises who Lindsay really is, she is Lulu his best friends sister and the woman he has never been able to get out of his head, the woman that he rates all the women he has been out with but never come close too.
This also becomes a realisation for Lindsay who also pieces the facts together and cannot believe that Marc is THE MARC she has had a crush on as a young girl and was devastated when he left for the army without even a look back. He broke her heart but can she give him one last try.Read more ›
Always Mine is the second book in the St Fleur series by A.J. Renee. The book could be read as a standalone which is what I did. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I really enjoyed it! The storyline was good; there were some great twists and turns as well as great characters. I will say that I kind of guessed the ending but it didn’t mean that I enjoyed the book any less. The author had a great writing style and she built a great relationship between the characters. I am definitely going to be reading book 1 in the series now and looking forward to book 3! The author did a great job of revealing the identity of the ‘creep’ until quite far on into the book.
The two main characters in this book were Lindsey and Marc. I liked Lindsey for the most part of the book, I thought that she was a genuinely nice person but her I love you/hate you moments with Marc did frustrate me at times but I can see and understand her reticence towards him. I liked her independent streak too and this certainly made her very stubborn when it came to Marc. I liked Marc as well, he was kind and genuinely wanted to protect Lindsey, especially once it emerged about her stalker.
The book overall was a really nice read, it flowed well and my interest was kept throughout. I loved the development of the two main characters and I liked the secondary characters too. They added an extra dynamic to the whole story. I would highly recommend this story if you are looking for a romantic suspense story with great characters. A solid 4 star read!
