Be prepared to run the gamut of emotions as you navigate your way through this story because running neatly alongside the love and romance came a hefty angst.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to clarify the fact that this is a solid second chance romance but what did surprise me was the sizzle factor, this author did not hold back.
Heading back to New York, Kyle is glad to be seeing the back of Chicago but that doesn’t necessarily mean that he expects everything to be hunky-dory upon his return. The s**tstorm that he is leaving behind in the windy city only marginally out does the potential mess that he could be rekindling because when he left New York, he also left his girlfriend Ruby, they ended in the most unfortunate of circumstances and not only was it a massive misunderstanding it was also far from amicable. But now, he has to hope that they can find a way to play nicely, in their professional capacity anyway because their paths aren’t only about to cross they are completely intertwined.
So where do you pick up from that sort of ending and taking into account the fact that they have had nothing to do with each other for 5 years, I would have said it was fairly obvious and that they had to go right back to the start almost but would they?
What do you think???? This pair had a physical connection that just refused to wait, so while they took their own sweet time to get their hearts and their heads on the same page, their libidos made darn sure that it was getting what it wanted and they came to a mutually convenient physical agreement. Well that’s one way to work out your issues!
The ensuing situation will set your kindle to sizzle, the two of them were fabulous but I was more concerned about what was going to be left when they had to face the bigger picture?
Well written with strong and perfectly rounded characters who knew exactly what they wanted and how to get it.

This is the first book I've read from this series, so I read it as a complete standalone. It's certainly left me intrigued to read the rest of the series now and learn more about the characters that featured in the previous books.

I enjoyed this very hot and sexy, easy to read second chance romance. It was a great story and I loved how Ruby and Kyle reconnected after 5 years apart. I liked the build up of their relationship and how there was a real underlying feeling of wanting 'more'. These two connected to well!

Although there is A LOT of sex in this book, it was super hot and steamy and the chemistry was written very well. Just the right amount of angst, and also plenty of sweetness and romance as well. Kyle and Ruby are great characters - I felt they were both very strong people who knew exactly what they wanted. I liked how they had both obviously matured (both in and out of the bedroom) since being together last, which adds to the basis of this storyline.

Overall I felt the story flowed really well and it was a good fast paced book. I liked the interaction with other people and enjoyed some of the secondary characters - again, leaving me wanting to read their stories too and hopefully read more from others in the future.

I devoured this book and enjoyed it all from start to finish although did feel like it ended very suddenly! I was certainly left wanting more.

This was a cute second chance romance, it was my least favourite from this series. Ruby and Kyle had a relationship back in college but after a misunderstanding they went their separate ways. I liked Ruby and Kyle together they were really cute. For me I had a problem with how much sex there was, yeah I know that is totally unheard of from me but I found it kinda boring.
I loved the secondary characters! Especially Courtney and Julius, I really want to see where that relationship goes!!

Three Sweet Nothings by Nikki Sloane is my first read but it most definitely won’t be my last as I absolutely loved this sexy but heartfelt second chance romance.

Told from dual POV, Kyle and Ruby have such a sizzling chemistry, despite five years having passed since they were last together. Together they have an incredible chemistry and connection that clearly evolves as the book progresses as these two strong and independent people grow closer again; it was intriguing how this romance played out and let’s just say things get pretty hot under the collar for both Ruby and Kyle and the reader. The relationship steadily re-develops as they reconnect in a mutually satisfying friends with benefits style relationship to explore their kinkier tastes freely with each other, which in turn forces them also to face up to the issues that still exist between them after how their relationship ended five years previously. One thing I personally loved with the relationship between Kyle and Ruby was that it wasn’t dragged out too far in-regards to the history about what happened between the two of them which allowed you to enjoy and get into their story further from near enough the start.

Three Sweet Nothings is incredibly written with a strong plot from start to finish that completely enraptures you. The book had a good balance with the romance and drama with plenty of twists and turns to keep things interesting. Kyle and Ruby were well developed characters and as a reader you can really feel the range of raw emotions both go through and have experienced, a true and clear example of the author’s incredible talent. While this is part of a series, be reassured it can be read as a standalone as you never feel too lost as just enough details was given about any secondary characters.
