5.0 out of 5 stars A 5 STAR RECOMMENDED BOOK!!! 9 Dec. 2016

Wow, what a powerful story this is! I felt like I was on an emotional roller coaster as I was alternately so happy and so sad for Elizabeth during her different circumstances (no spoilers though)... That is a sign of a good book when it gets you so emotionally involved! Lynette has become one of my favorite Indie authors as all her books that I have read draw you in and you don't want to put them down because you just have to know what is going to happen next! I love the premise of a book about "recycled souls" as I do believe in soulmates and destiny! I highly recommend this book and I cannot wait to read more from this talented author!

5.0 out of 5 stars A comforting peace of mind, a truley amazing highschool love story 25 Mar. 2012

I first want to start by saying that i normally do not ever read romance novels, but after reading "The beginning of a life misunderstood" I then became interested in other novels by the author. So of course like any other sceptic I only downloaded the sample of this book and after reading through the first few chapters I had to purchase it. I am currently only on chapter 11 but it is by far one of the best novels i have read in very long time and also very intriging because as I am reading I am also trying to figure out where the title of the book came from and now I think i understant. Now I have been out of highschool for years now but I can fully 100% feel every ounce of feelings that Elizabeth has for Jared because I once felt like that towards somebody, however the world happens but this but brings me back to a comforting and peaceful place in my life which i had forgotten existed. I just want to say thank you for writing such a wounderful book and keep them coming

3.0 out of 5 stars Interesting 30 May 2010
By J. Allen - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This book definitely kept me captivated. I kept wondering exactly what was going to happen next. I will be honest and say, it felt somewhat rushed at times. I thought it could go a little deeper. I am 24 and still watch teen tv shows, I find it interesting to get into the mind of the teenager today. I thought Elizabeth could be a little harsh at times, but I do remember being young and easily angry at my parents, friends, etc.

I didn't immediately feel the connection between Elizabeth and Jared, but I definitely had the feeling that they were the main thread of the book. Joshua slipping in was some of my favorite parts of the book. I felt that he helped Elizabeth grow up some, and become her own self. The past-life aspect was a good addition. I actuallly read a book about past-lives when I was about 14, and still believe somewhat.

I don't want to give too much away! It was worth the read. I will be sending it to my 13 year-old neice soon!
(This was my first review, I hope it was okay! I wanted to review it for the author and possible readers, since there were only 2 so far!)

Update: My neice read the book and enjoyed it.

5.0 out of 5 stars I Cried... 20 Aug. 2012

and for a guy to admit that, well, that just shows how good this book is...

***BIG Spoiler Alert***

This book not only has a happy ending, it has two happy endings. When you get to the very last page, and you wonder if what you're think happened has actually happened - well, it has. And that was where I had the biggest smile at the end of a book in years.

Elizabeth gets moved with her family from California to Ireland. She hates it. But everything happens for a reason.

She meets her soul mate in Jared and then something terrible happens. But everything happens for a reason.

She meets Joshua who believes she is her soul mate but she takes her time going from friend to romance. Then something God-awful happens. But everything happens for a reason.

Elizabeth reunites with Jared and they get the happy ending you've been hoping for. But everything happens for a reason, and EVERYONE gets a happy ending. Trust me on this. She must break with Jared in order to meet Joshua. It is absolutely necessary.

If you believe in reincarnation, then you will realize that not all soul mates are meant to be romantically linked. Look at your family. And wonder...

BTW, this book has the most heartbreaking voice mail in history and that is where I cried. But everything happens for a reason.

If you've read this book and feel like talking about it, please hit comments. I really would like to chat with others about this book - especially the end.

I was reluctant to buy this book since only 1 person had reviewed it, but I must say it was well worth it!
