I'm a massive fallout fan, and as such I thought I would celebrate release night of fallout 4 with a couple of beverages. My main aim was to have a couple of crates for myself, and then a few to give to friends and keep as collectors items.
That's right, you other guys thought you made a mistake? Try being the guy that bought 5 crates of this crap.
Where to start, well mine actually turned up in its 'display packaging'. Yep that crate of 12 is actually three x4 packs. On one hand I should be grateful as for the majority of people this isn't the case (some of my friends who bought the same snake oil had it turn up just chucked in some cardboard like other reviews) but then on the other hand amazon's packing methods have ensured that every single 'display case' has been torn apart and is essentially useless, it's now more delicate than a one day old unicorn.
Also one of the 'case of 12' turned out to be a 4 bottles of chilean wine, but amazon have rectified this.
The beer itself is basically cat piss, it seems to taste worse than normal Carlsberg with the added bonus of becoming more and more bitter as you remember how much it cost you in the first place.
My original idea was that I would brew my own themed IPA for the fallout 4 release as a gift to my friends, including proper bottlecaps, decent labels and a nice beer to boot, an idea which I will do just to prove I could have made a better product cheaper. Do not buy.

Although this beer gained bonus points for actually looking like it was scavenged from the wasteland, overall I found it to be a total disappointment. Upon arrival I opened the box (upside down like a boss) to find standard cardboard packaging. wrapped around 12 individual bottles. I removed a bottle and to my immediate sadness discovered that the caps on the bottles were just plain old gold coloured bottle caps. The labels were already bubbling off and many were torn in places. The beer itself is mediocre at best, but I don't really know what else to expect from Carlsberg.
Overall I'd give it a large resounding 'Meh'. The pissweak beer I can deal with but the fact that my other half shelled out 30 notes for a plain box of very standard looking and tasting beer is a real disappointment. For that price I would have at least hoped to have some cool bottle caps left over at the end.

Really disappointed with this product. All of the labels are hanging off or damaged and some bottles are missing half of the labels all together (mainly back labels). The quality of this product is awful. Just plain bottles with poor quality stickers half stuck on and scratched bottle tops. Really annoyed that i have wasted so much money on such a dismal product. How do i go about returning these for a refund?

2 very big companies were involved here.
Both have massive merchandising and marketing budgets.
1 is about to become several hundreds of million $ better off.
All you could offer was a crappy cardboard box with some poor quality labels on..? COME ON FOR CHRIST SAKES!
The beer is just that... beer. Nothing new or exciting but I didn't buy for the beer.
I bought for awesome... I received average.

I bought these as a cool novelty item, however I'm a little disappointed.
None of the labels were on straight and almost all were peeling at the edges. Wouldn't be an issue if they were actually sticky enough to push back down. A few also had small rips in them.
As this is just bog standard Carlsberg inside the bottle, I'd recommend grabbing a case from your local supermarket for a third of the price unless you're bonkers about Fallout and want something to display.
