Love it. The first time you pick it up and feel the keys is great, It feels so premium.. Very well build, and easy to keep clean. One of the best mechanical keyboards out there right now, Would totally recommend it!!

*EDIT: Well it's been 4 months since I brought it & used it, until today it was amazing, could not fault it in the slightest.. But today when starting my PC up I noticed the F12 Key LED didn't light up, Seems the LED died.. Honestly pretty disappointed that only 4 months in it is already having dying Leds.. Lets hope only one fails but sadly I've seen a lot of users have this issue. Pretty disappointed for a keyboard you spend a massive £120 on you should expect it to work..

*EDIT: Second LED failed... the J key, Honestly id highly... HIGHLY Suggest you dont buy this device, I've also heard the new RBG versions have the same Awful LEDs so yeah... good job corsair

*LAST EDIT (One year of owning the keyboard!) Currently have 58 dead LEDs. Yes you did hear me correctly.. 58. Overall the keyboard still works completely fine, The wrist rest has snapped on the left connector but still stays on 'okay' So.. If you don't care about LEDS, then hell.. go for it, But if you actually want your keyboard to light up? No. Don't buy it.

The keyboard starts out good. It's nice to use. I have a problem as a gamer, that I am used to resting my ring finger on the A key. The keyboard is so sensitive that I will quite often start pressing the A key without realising, which didn't happen with membrane keyboards. It's not bad but it's something to get used to.

My main problem with this keyboard and why I've only rated it 3 stars is because after owning it for several months, the LED backlights for the keys have started dying all of a sudden. First one key went, then overnight another 3 have died. This frustrating as I don't think they're easily replaceable and the keyboard is obviously very expensive.

It feels very nice to type on though.

It's been 2 years since I bought this keyboard and it has been a mixed experience. The keyboard itself is very solid and the cherry mx red keys are excellent for typing or gaming.

What has let this keyboard down badly are the quality of the led lights. Over half the lights have now stopped working and I have resorted to turning all LEDs off and using a small desk lamp. The point of using LEDs was to not have to turn all the lights on and therefore avoid disturbing other people in the house late in the night.

I do not know whether this a problem with other manufacturers or maybe only Corsair used rubbish leds which is very unfortunate if you factor the high price of this keyboard.

I have requested an RMA with Corsair. I will update this review shortly.

Generally speaking a great keyboard. The high responsiveness/soft action of the keys is very useful for gaming and for typing quickly (though you'll make more mistakes on average than switches with distinct actuation points e.g. Cherry MX Brown or Blue). The media keys and analogue volume slider are very useful, as is the USB port on the back. The keys are shaped nicely and are made of a pleasant-feeling material.

One major drawback to the aesthetics is that the LEDs backlighting the keys die very quickly so you get an awkward array of lights in the dark.

The product internals are low quality and give out after a month or two of use. Specifically: the LEDs will die out.
When paying such a high price for what is supposed to be a premium product, this is really not a good sign.

The 5 star reviews are from people who reviewed the product within a week or two of usage, but all the reviews from people who've had it any longer than that are sitting at low star values.

Unfortunately for me, and many of you potential buyers, that means that this products rating is rather inflated. While the keyboard is still usable without the LEDs, I am giving this product a 1 Star rating in the hopes of counteracting the abundance of hasty 5 star reviews that are driving the rating up, and subsequently hiding this issue. I would give this product a ~3 star rating otherwise.

I've no idea how I managed to play without a mechanical keyboard for all of those years. This difference between a standard keyboard and this are like night and day.

As you would expect from Corsair, the build quality is excellent with a clean design that makes life a lot easier when you need to clean the product too. I'm very happy with the keyboard ... However (Updated review)

Having used the keyboard for a few months now, I am having great experiences with it, mostly. I noticed after only a couple of weeks that one of my key lights had gone out, being the kind of person I am and not wanting to return the keyboard for something so trivial, I just ignored it. It's only one light, right?...

...Wrong! At the moment of writing this (17th of July 2015), I now have 20 lights that are no longer working. It really hurts my OCD and I now play with the lights turned off, so that I can't see the damage. From what I've read, this is a known problem with the keyboard. Be aware when you think about buying this product.
