I bought this for an FM2 build PC, thus going for the slightly faster ram speed was of benefit for the integrated Radeon graphics.
The Ram has a blue and silver aluminium heatspreader on either side which looks quite smart, you also get a nice case sticker in the box.
Performance is good for ram this speed, you should pay attention to clock speed and latency, this is CL (latency 9) which is a little higher than some ran at CL11 or around there.
The heat spreaders don't get hot in normal use (not even slightly), but they're there for overclockers if you want to go down that route.
Voltage is slightly higher than the DDR3 1333MHz ram, 1.65 v 1.5
If you are running a seperate graphics card with it's own onboard ram, the system ram speed is less important (will not make much difference in day to day tasks)
However if you have a CPU with built in graphics that will impact 3d performance quite a bit, so for Intel and AMD APU's I would suggest looking at this type of memory. I would not bother to update ram speed if you're running 1333MHz though.
Ram prices have gone up a bit in the last few years, though this is still affordable. As ever with Kingston you get a lifetime warranty and so far I've not had to use it!
