Numerous pure single malt whiskies aged in a variety of cask types, including Mizunara, a very rare Japanese oak, all combine to create a full orchestra of flavours and aromas. It is 12 year old blended whisky.

I took a bit of a punt on it based on the reviews and the knowledge that Japanese whisky is supposed to be the best in the world. I have to say that he loved it and it has now become his favourite ever whisky - even more than single malt which I wouldn't have thought possible. It's in a beautiful bottle too. Highly recommended

    Die Flasche ist ein echtes Schmuckstück. Ich habe noch nie eine so hochwertige Flasche gesehen. So mancher Dekanter kann sich hier eine Scheibe abschneiden. Die Rillen und die perfekte Ätzung des Korkens ist so unglaublich gut. Die Verpackung und auch das Etikett auf der Flasche letzten Maßstäbe. Hier spielen die Japaner ihr ganzes Können aus. Kein Whisky sondern ein Kunstwerk durch und durch.

    Der Inhalt wird der Flasche gerecht. Florale Noten, fruchtige Noten wie grüne Bananen, Orangen, Honig, Karamell, Vanille etwas Eiche und ein traumhafter langer öliger Abgang. Ein Lob an die Blender, die ihr Handwerk mehr als verstehen.

    Ein spitzen blended Whisky der sich vor den Schotten nicht verstecken braucht, im Gegenteil.

    Zum Verschenken ist er für Anfänger und auch für Kenner bestens geeignet.

Damit traf ich wohl mitten ins Whiskey-Liebhaber-Herz!!! Also, absolute Kaufempfehlung- wundervoller sanfter Geschmack (auch für die Frau), schöne ansehnliche Flasche. Der Preis ist zwar etwas höher, aber es macht alles Wett, und wird jeden Whiskey-Genießer umhauen.
    Ich habe es nicht bereut meinem Vater die Flasche zum 60jährigen schenken.

    Je nach Anbieter +/- 100€? Total angebracht. Sogar eher preiswert für so einen Whisky.
    Ich habe noch nie so einen guten Whisky gehabt. Natürlich hat nochmal jeder seinen eigenen Geschmack, aber bisher haben alle meine Freunde und Bekannte (denen ich zutraue einen guten Whisky zu schätzen) mir zugestimmt.
    Genießerhinweiß, Zum Thema "Eis in den Hibiki": Nehmt Specksteine, o.ä. oder probiert ihn zunächst direkt ohne Gimmicks. Ihr werdet sehen, dass der Whisky schon mit einem Tropfen Wasser komplett seinen Geschmack verändert. Deutlich spürbar. Probiert vorher aus, was ihr lieber mögt, und werft nicht gedankenlos und routiniert Eiswürfel rein wenn ihr Whisky normalerweise "on the rocks" mögt.
    Ich war echt überrascht wie gut mir der Hibiki schmeckt. Er wird schön lange halten, da ich ihn als Gelegenheits- und Eventwhisky im Schrank lasse, aber sollte er zuneige gehen würde ich ihn sofort nochmal kaufen.
