This is one good monitor. The touch buttons work well and colours are great (Takes a little tinkering with the monitor settings to get them right). Auto Bright is not helpful soo i have it turned off. You can pick the input source, so its possible to have 3 devices plugged in at the same time. E.G PC via DVI-D , Xbox via VGA and DVD player via HDMI. The Surface around the edge attracts dust and animal fur like a magnet, has expected from a glossy finish soo need regular cleaning. Also the user manual is on the CD.

Cinema mode and Dual web are nothing special, and has nothing to do with the monitor , its a software on the PC that dose that stuff for you. Cinema mode is nice but u do have to Select the zone u want to be brighter then the rest yourself , as for dual web... kinda pointless :P.

But yea , i was not looking for the screens features soo it still gets a 5/5 from me ^^.

    The best thing:-
    - The stand! Having the option not use the flat base and have the stand as a picture frame with the lower border of the screen sitting on the desk, is just superb. Well, for someone like me it is, who is conditioned to using laptops, and prefers the better ergonomics of having ones eyeline at the top of the screen. Its like having a great big laptop screen!

    The good things:-
    - Very slim, lightweight, small footprint.
    - Excellent image, right from the box it looked good.
    - The touch screen buttons actually work very well.
    - The price, under £150 for a good quality monitor, with the usual fantastic Amazon service.
    - Movies and games all look good.

    The worst thing:-
    - I simply cannot get it working correctly with HDMI input. The image doesnt fill the screen, and as such it is indistinct, and unusable. Having tried just about every tip and solution I can find on the net, I still cannot get it working. BUT when I use an HDMI to DVI (HDMI from laptop to DVI input on back of screen) it works correctly. So same output from the laptop. There must be some sort of HDMI input fault on the screen.

The next worst thing:- The glossy frame! I love glossy displays and dont find any reflections distracting (though this isnt a glossy display), but to have a frame that not only reflects everything in the room like a mirror but also looks grubby, finger-marked, attracting pet hairs, is just ridiculous. Worst is that the bottom edge at the base of the screen reflects my ceiling lights, so I get a bright line at the base of the screen. The frame of the screen fails to look classy, its gaudy and irritating. Itw ont be long before I end up sticking lengths of black matt insulation tape all over the frame to stop it shining at me!

    Other stuff:-
    - As per the advice from a previous review I installed the drivers from Device Manager and it went fine. The supplied software is useless, cant see any reason to ever use it, so left it installed but removed it from my Start-up.
    - Viewing angles are poor as to expected with a cheaper TN panel, even moving my head a few inches to the left or right results in the screen yellowing, and vertically it darkens.
    - It uses a power brick. For what is a minimalist lightweight design it would be so nice not to have this nasty box to power it.
    - I cant see any dead pixels but havent searched for them, nothing obvious anyway.
    - Why is the logo so large and obtrusive? Something more subtle and classy would be nicer.
    - The right side of the screen is very slightly brighter than the left, most noticeable on white backgrounds.

    Overall:-
This is a decent screen. If like me you want a screen where your eye-line is near the top of the screen, its awesome compared to all the non-adjustable monitors that are too high for good ergonomics. If it were £250 I would give it 2 stars, but for under £150, I can forgive its short-comings, though HDMI not working is probably bigger than a short-coming, but I suspect its just this screen rather than the model in general. I'll have to return it because of that problem, but still rate it as a good product.

Overall, the LG E2250V is a good monitor. It works fine and on-screen text is sharp.

Before purchasing this model, it is worth knowing the following:

    1. The display panel has a matt finish (not glossy). Definitely a plus point in my view.
    2. The height of the monitor cannot be adjusted by using the supplied stand.
    3. The monitor does not have wall mount fixing points on the back of the screen.
    4. Connectivity options are good: DVI, VGA and HDMI.
    5. I have a conventional LCD screen running alongside the LG LED (a dual-screen setup). The most noticeable difference between the two types of monitor (LCD and LED) is colour. Colours on the LED display have a "cold" look about them, whereas colours on the LCD panel are "warmer".

At the time of this review, the LG LED monitor was slightly more expensive than equivalent regular LCD types. The supposed benefits of lower power consumption and longevity of LED's do not, in my view, warrant the additional cost and if I had my purchasing decision again, it is likely that I would choose a regular LCD monitor.

First saw this product in a PC shop and was overwhelmed by the picture quality. Even my wife commented and she is not really into computer equipment. Sought out the best online price and then bought the monitor through Amazon. Took just a few minutes to set up and install, brilliant picture right from the start, so much so that I then had to download a high quality wallpaper to 'show off' the monitor. I am not a gamer so I cannot comment on refresh rates for games, I do however watch the odd video and the picture reproduction is extremely good. I use the monitor for my business and the 22" wide screen allows multiple spreadsheets etc to be placed side by side without having to make the scale so small that you cannot read anything. Monitor comes with svga, dvi and hdmi connectors, I am using the dvi connector as my pc does not allow hdmi connectivity ---yet.
I would highly recommend this monitor to anyone.
