- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 October 2010Monitor works fine for office work and movies - however it has an annoying background hum that can make it unusable at times.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 November 2010Purchased through Amazon as I was in the market for a large 24" monitor and this seemed to be getting good reviews at the time.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 July 2010Can't complain about the picture, it's very good. Like all monitors, it needs a little calibration to get the best out of it, but it's better in this regard than my past monitors from Samsung, Sony and Philips. My only real complaint is about the physical aspects of it. The touch-sensitive buttons might look impressive but they're not very user friendly. Having to cycle through the inputs with a touch-button is frustrating and annoying. The menu is clear and easy to understand but navigating around it with the touch buttons is needlessly awkward. Give me REAL buttons any day!
The other problem is the physical size of it. Due to the tilt, swivel, and rotate functionality the stand is quite deep and bulky. As a result of this, when the base of the stand is flush against the wall the screen protrudes about 20cm from the wall. That's a lot more than I'm used to. Now I wish I had chosen a monitor with just simple tilt since I don't really need rotate and I'd like to the have the screen closer to the wall.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 October 2009Not so fast Mr Mags !!
Everything fine until you start editing photos.
I expected a narrow viewing angle, but this is just unacceptable.
Adjust yourself in your seat by just a few inches and the brighness and balance of a photo shift enormously.
Even nodding your head with a fixed posture will give the same effect, it's that bad. Side to side it's tolerable, its the up/down that kills it.
These things are not sp noticeable for general apps, and its otherwise a good monitor, but for photo-editing its apalling.
I have to use a very fixed posture for photo-editing and am therefore just about to replace this with a (albeit much more expensive) monitor. I have had it 5 weeks - really dropped a cod on this one.
I also found that greens are a bit yellowy - down to low colour gamutt I have found out today.
Screams of "get what you pay for", but I have other TN panels that are fine for desk PC work so I never expected things to be this bad.
What's scary is that on-line reviews rate it pretty high - some mention the viewing angle issues, but understate it.
Not tried DVD/movies, so can't comment on those.
Before I go, note that I calibrated this with a hardware colourimeter, so its not because of poor settings.
As a final point, I think if you are serious about graphic work, you just need to accept you must pay much more for a monitor.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 October 2010i already had a SyncMaster 2493HM and this monitor is basically the same thing.
The adjustable stand is very useful. Those who noted that it was not good for photo editing might need to tilt the screen up towards them - rather than leaving it. That way, moving your slightly makes no difference.
One note: the version from Amazon comes with a continental mains lead. If you are planning on using it when it arrives, be sure to get your own lead!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 April 2009I have purchased this monitor from another online retailer, out of the box, aesthetic wise, it has been awesome, the design is truly magnific....I am a mac user and am a bit worried if there are compatibility issues, but to my amazement, none so far, after I attached the dvi connection to my macbook, it worked perfectly well.... it has 2 usb ports, audio in and out, hdmi, dvi and vga connection, what more can I ask? pretty satisfied with the performance too, no dead pixels and the adjustable stand at the back is an added pleasure. . .oops before I forget, it does swivel to 90 degrees, so, if you are a writer who likes to read blogs, articles, the portrait option would be best for you..... a truly awesome monitor.....

Emile CourrierReviewed in France on 7 July 20094.0 out of 5 stars un excellent rapport qualité- prix
-sa consommation électrique pas négligeable ;
-l'angle de vision un réduit (normal pour une dalle TN) ;
- le niveau sonore des hauts-parleurs est à la limite du ridicule (et plus faible a priori que sur son grand frère, le 2493HM) ;

Albat'Reviewed in France on 3 March 20105.0 out of 5 stars Excellent en tout !

eagleReviewed in France on 7 October 20094.0 out of 5 stars Bon achat, livraison rapide

StéphaneReviewed in France on 18 November 20095.0 out of 5 stars Superbe moniteur !
