This unit works really well and looks good. It runs very quietly and is easy to set up to keep two automatic watches running.
The instruction manual covers the basics but does not include any instructions or diagrams showing how watches should be mounted within the unit - this would be very helpful as this may not be obvious to those who use the unit for the first time. Watches should be mounted on the removable foam pads so their dials end up facing the window.Suggest that having two watches in the unit is likely to be better for the Winder as there is reduced stress on the bearings and motor (more balanced).

How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Good all-round watch winder, but not top quality
I was after my first watch winder and after much searching I found this, which fulfilled my criteria:- Combines a single winder with additional watch storage- Accommodates my large divers watch (Bremont Supermarine S500 - 43mm case, 16mm deep)- Battery and mains operated (very handy in case it needs to go in a safe or somewhere where a plug isn't easily accessible)It isn't a cheap watch winder but overall I am pleased with it. It arrived nicely packaged and would make a lovely gift. It's neither too big or too small and I like the way it displays the watch being wound as well as others above it. It's real leather and overall the quality feels pretty good. The winder is very quiet and I couldn't hear it at all when the flap and lid were closed. Rotation options seem good, it is handy to be able to delay the start of the rotation by 12hrs. It is pretty easy to put the watch into the winder, there is a spring-loaded cushion that you wrap your watch around and then you just do up the strap and slide it into the barrel of the winder. However, it isn't perfect, downsides include:- Plastic front clasp/lock, dials and battery compartment clasp; to get cheap plastic parts was a let down and main reason for the loss of one star (the key for the lock is an absolute joke and not fit for purpose so if you want one you can lock properly don't get this). They are shiny and look ok but when you use them you get that plastic feel, not great.- You cannot open the front independently of the top or vice versa; you have to pinch two buttons on the clasp together and lift the lid which then causes the front to flap to fall forward. It's not a big deal, just a little awkward and mildly frustrating that you can't open either the top or front by itself. Some magnets to hold the front flap up when opening the lid would have been a great design addition to solve this.- Small flashing LED could annoy some people in a bedroom but it is recessed and so you would have to be looking directly at it to see it. It would also be very easy to block with a tiny piece of blu-tack or something similar.- Leather is quite hard; from the pictures (to me at least) it looks like it is soft/padded leather but it is actually hard to the touch - this is just an observationOverall the balance of price to quality is OK and I am pretty happy with it. It displays my watches nicely and the winder fulfils its function and is quiet. Had it not been for the plastic bits I would have given this 5 *'s. I can't comment on reliability or how long the batteries last as I have only had it a few days. (photo of full rotation options added as an FYI)
