Forget about all the bendy lifty pseudo gym activity - that isn't why we wanted these.We have a decent summerhouse that we have been refurbishing. Although it has really substantial floorboards, we wanted a softer floorcovering that would not get damp and mouldy.These looked to be a good option so we sent for 3 packs.They fit together well and serve the purpose perfectly. We then bought a further pack and that meant that virtually the entire floor is covered.The feel is good and soft.These are not going to have hard use - repetitive messing about with weights or anything - but they were simply the most practical and also cost-effective option for our summerhouse. Think laterally.

    I was wary of getting bad tiles after reading a few reviews of others settled on these as they are a good price with good reviews and more importantly for me the tiles are a decent size not the small ones.

    Delivery was fast and good and I was surprised ar the quality of the tiles.

    They are perfect for my use which is just basic home exercises on a hard tiled floor.

    My only slight issue is they are a little slippery on my hands for press ups etc but not so much so that it ruins the experience. Let's face it most surfaces get a little slippy when your sweating profusely.

    I have 4 which is fine for my use of basic floor exercises i tend to use the hard floor for most foot based stuff i dunno if I'd fancy having the whole floor covered in it.

    I bought these to protect the carpets in my rented flat. I paid £14.34 (free delivery) and they arrived on time.

    Opened them up and there was a bit of a smell to them. The smell goes away after a few hours. They fit together nicely, and had the added surprise of being able to interlock with another set as the edges comes off! The bottom of the mat help to keep them in place but I find the top of the mats a little slippery. They are good for Zumba/boxing as your shoes won't stick to the mat, soft enough (mat is not very thick) to do yoga on and if you place a exercise bike on it, the bike won't move.

    I did not give it 5 stars as I love my cat, and unfortunately I cannot put these in the same category:-P I would purchase again if I had more space that needed covering.

    I bought a set of these tiles for softening the floor beneath my skipping workout.
    To begin with I was going to use them outside on the grass but they are not really heavy enough to remain flat on grass. Next I tried on our rough concrete area(gravel incorporated into concrete and rather unforgiving if jumped on) but again I found the matting was a bit light for outdoors and windy conditions although they would be ideal in a garage out of the weather.
    Indoors the mats pushed together like giant puzzle pieces and I decided to use just two to cushion my jumping .I put them down on our laminate wood flooring and found they stayed put very well and dulled the loud thwacking sound of my skipping rope. I can use plimsolls for skipping with this matting as it is cushioned, rather than having to wear thicker trainers on the bare wood.
    The other two pieces of matting are put on the floor in our bedroom over thin carpet ,for when I am working out and are ideal for floor exercise because they take the hardness out of your spine when performing crunches or sit ups and are less strain on wrists for press ups and yoga.
    The tiles are easily separated again to put away.
    There is no permanent bowing if you stand them upright in a cupboard.
    I like the woven pattern surface effect which stops them being slippery. The pieces are about 1 square metre each and there are 8 edge pieces to make a smooth surround when all are put together.

    Got three packs of these for my home free weights set up. They are great and look nice. Easily indented so if you require something firm dont buy. Seem to be doing a fine job of protecting my carpet though.
    So far I've got 140kg plates to one side and a bench on my lot, they are slippery than I would like, and they are moving apart, ie not locking together very well when in use as per the other reviews. Possibly because not wall to wall.

    Overall would I buy again? Not sure, I'd probably pay marginally more for better quality mats but for this price range you're laughing.

    I have several of these packs linked together and which have been placed under a large NordicTrack E12.0 Elliptical.

    These floors guards offer a great, gym quality, non-slip and protective layer over our wooden floor. The mats are intended to have a little give, so the Elliptical sinks into the matt to stop it from moving around. The interlocking design is very good, and with some care, and decent scissors can be cut to size, as long as you cut the right side of the mat of course.

    A must if you have heavy exercise equipment in a home with wooden floors.

    When I first used my Wii Fit (Christmas present) I realised I was not getting the same results as when I used my sister's. Obvious I suppose as I have badly fitting floorboards rather than a good flat floor with solid carpet on which to place the balance board. Tried on a towel yes much better but far too slippery.
    Strapped for cash as one is after Christmas I bought these floor tiles because of the price and the other reviews.
    For the obsessive these might not be the ideal solution but for me they are perfect - they are cheap, they do their job well and they are easy to store in a small London flat. An absolutely excellent solution to many similar problems I would have thought.
