Product description
2008 digitally re-mastered and expanded edition of the Alan Parsons classic album that was originally released in 1985. Parsons himself digital re-mastered all his catalog albums in 2007 using the original master tapes. The difference in sound quality is amazing-each sounds absolutely fantastic. This edition features four bonus tracks including demos and instrumental versions. 11 tracks total. Sony/BMG.

Songs "Limelight" and "Light of the world" are particularly good, infact the whole album grows on you and shouldn't be dismissed simply because it's different from previous output.
Good price and efficient delivery to boot.
1) The title track. Sung by John 'Music is my first love' Miles it starts off with a very Oriental instrumental intro and builds up to a superb climax. Towards the end we get a few lines sung by for me, the voice of the project Eric Woolfson, Alan Parsons' co-songwriter on all of the tracks. Eric normally sings several songs in his own right on APP albums but on 'Stereotomy' he's relegated to this brief cameo.
2) Track four, the simply wonderful 'Limelight'. Sung by Gary 'Whiter shade of pale' Brooker, this is a classic APP cut. The guitar of Ian Bairson sounds soooo good on this track, especially the refrain after the "...after all the years of waiting, I'm gonna show them all....". Magic.
3) The very next track, the rocking 'the real world', sung again by Miles. Great vocals and the guitar again just sings so sweetly.
4) The seventh track 'Light of the world'. Sung by Graham Dye who some may remember was in a band called Scarlet Party who had a couple of hits in the early 80s with '101 Damn-Nations' and 'Eyes of Ice'. This is quite a long track but builds to a nice climax, again with Bairnsons guitar providing a sweet solo.
......and that's it ! What is left are a couple of turgid instrumentals, a doodle+reprise of the title track and a rather ordinary song about 'Beaujolais'.
The digital sound quality is magnificent, not a hiss in sight.
Four great tracks = four stars. A close call but these are great tracks so it's well deserved.
