If you haven’t tried greyscale colouring yet, I’m sure Bennett Klein’s outstanding 3d designs will turn you into a fan in no time.
The book contains 30 different motifs, all printed on one side of the page and with a dramatic black background.
There are monsters and skulls and steam punk swans (how crazy is that?) and insects, dragons, tigers and so much more.
My favourite is a design with the title “Feeding Time”, where a hand holds a bleeding heart above a monster, which looks a bit like a mixture of a crocodile and a toad.
This is just the stuff, which makes colouring so much fun. Unique motifs created by a talented artist for you to fill in and style any way you want.
The paper is smooth, but relatively thin and I would highly recommend to put some paper or cardboard behind the page you are working on to avoid bleed-through.
The pages aren’t perforated, but apart from one, where the design really covers the whole page (the so called Vampfairy, it's another fabulous creation, showing the face of a fairy with vampire fangs) they all leave enough space to cut them out, if you want to frame the finished page.
All pages certainly deserve to be put on display, Klein’s artwork is just stunning.
This is a different type of colouring book, than the normal bees, birds and flowers, but there’s no doubt, Bennett Klein’s unique 30 greyscale “shades” DARKER are a lot of fun, too.
The lines on the drawings are not sharp(all blurry)
If I had known this was a poor copy I would not have bought it.
