Top customer reviews
There's a mixture of styles within this book, from mini scripts, prose and short stories. all delivering some kind of twist or moral. There was a certain comic element to some of the stories and scripts.
I do have my favourites, one of which was the story of the £80 bottle of wine...and the old man and his dog...in all fairness, each little part of this book has its merits. Kudos to Claire Buss for creating such an entertaining, and in some cases, heart wrenching read. She's gained a fan in me.
If you're anything like me an like a satisfying quick tale to get through a short train journey or last thing at night whilst tucked up in bed this book is for you.
The characters in the stories are well written and memorable. I challenge anyone that reads Bodies In The Graveyard not to fall in love or connect with George Fennyworth.
The blogs mostly center around the authors experiences as a Mummy to a toddler and are very funny which any Mum will be able to relate to.
The plays will have you laughing out loud and the twists and punchlines will keep you turning the page.
So as I said if you like a short story before bed this book is for you but you may want to go to bed a little earlier as you may find yourself saying 'just one more' until you've finished the entire lot.
