First read this as a library book 30 years ago. Have tried to get my own copy for a long time. In the end AMAZON came up with the goods - a big thank you. Wonderful, easy read story by a fine author whose knowledge of the Cheshire area is second to none.

Format: Paperback
A not so well known author and title yet a well written story somewhat historical in its setting in the city of Chester.
A mixture of fact, fiction, intrigue and whit.
Anyone with a knowledge of Chester and its surrounding area and its history will love this simple but pleasent read.

I scoured the libraries and bookshops for this author and title with no success yet found it available on Amazon in seconds.
For future searches it,s always got to be Amazon first.
